Hi there every 1...
please can some one tell me the draw backs of X700? i want to purchase it but not sure about it! I also like D500,d510, d600 but they don't have fm. Also not sure about its sound battery, as compare to Nokia 6600,is its sound good? and can it play full screen videos??
Please some 1 tell me every details of it..

To All:
Someone asked me through email that “is it possible to show both contact numbers of sim and phone's memory separately on X700?”.... I replied this query .... I would like to share my answer to all of you:
Select Menu...Phonebook... Management... Memory Status...
To show only SIM contacts, select “SIM” option ... It will only show contact numbers present on sim's memory...
To show only Phone contacts, select “Phone” option ... It will only show contact numbers present on phone's memory...
This will resolve your duplicating contacts problem....

Yes... i also have unfilled warranty card (indicating only set model, serial number, date of purchase, warranty expires date)....This is not a problem... I think, for warranty claim, both bill/warranty card will be required...
For Cell Broadcast (or cell info)service, find previous posts by entering “area” in search textbox and click “search opinion”... Thanks!

This is not firmware problem.... For best pics, there must be good light conditions available otherwise you will see average results.... find previous posts by entering “pics” in search textbox and click “search opinion”...

To Josh:
Yes, you can use upto 1GB memory card!

To Tariq Abbasi:
I am using 512MB Sandisk card without any problem... Restart phone and again try to open memory card ....Also make sure that your friend's mobile is also samsung (X700 or any other model number)...

Dear Usman:
Can you solve my problem.
I have bought new x700 mobile last week, and now I want to add card 512Mb, I checked out a card 256Mb (that is my friend mobile's)in my hand set. it's boot easly but was not open only picter, mp3 and videio file. what's problem.

Hi,
Pl tell me about firmware thing and also how to install it on samsung x700 and also how to check in mobile for the firmware version...is firmware updating can damage the mobile or not ?

does camera quality ,i mean the picture quality taken from a mobile phone has anything to do with the firmware version.my X700 firmware version is DDFBI is it very old firmware?plz help me guys.

thanx usman for sharing me ur opinion..but what io care about the mobile is the loudness and clearance when u hear amusic..and the loudness and clearance when the phone rings

To Prateek:
For FM programs recording, read my previous post on 13 september, 2006.... While an X700 user informed me that he bought X700 from mumbai, INDIA last month and it has melody + vibration feature.... My Samsung X700 does not have this feature.... It is available in new firmwares.... I am using vibrating mmf ringtones on my X700....

i read in ur posts that we can record songs from fm on samsung X700? is it true? pls tell me how to do it!!!1

also tel me how to set vibration+melody simultaneously on it??

I have bought a new x700 to replace Sharp G x10i. It's features is well but one problem in my Camera Picture wehn i take pic with this option 1280*1024 super fine then save to my pc, In the mid some dots has been arrived. I think it's lence is week.
rick feature. I have two option to sell mobiles phone one for Sony E K750i and the other is SGH X700 my preference is X700. Very Nice.

To Jim:
There is no night mode, so it cannot take good pics at dark..... But if there is excellent light conditions, then you can compare these megapixel pics to 2MP mobile cameras of some other brands.... X700 supports maximum 1GB memory card.... You can transfer complete phone book from other mobiles as well.... Also you can transfer contacts from X700 to other mobile through bluetooth,email,mms,sms.... To send contacts through bluetooth, open phonebook .... select any contact.... click options....view....again select options.... send via Bluetooth... Now, you have 4 options:
1. Selected
2. All Contacts
3. All phone contacts
4. All sim contacts
While there is not any problem with X700.... Also read my previous comparison with Nokia 6233 on 17 and 23 october, 2006.... Then you can judge the advantages/ disadvantages of this phone very well....

To Shakoor:
No.... You cannot create new folder in phone memory... It is only possible in memory card.... And you can copy/ transfer any file (including songs) to phone or memory card without using Samsung PC Studio software.... To do this, you need a USB bluetooth dongle.... It is available in the market @ 400 rupees only.... Connect it to your PC.... Install software/driver from it's CD and start sending files to phone's memory or memory card directly.... I am using Billionton Bluetooth USB Adapter (class1 upto 100m range).... It is fully compatible with Samsung X700.... The bluetooth connection is fast as compared to samsung PC studio .... If you have memory card, then use USB Mass Storage feature to transfer files between PC and X700's memory card directly through USB cable.... Read my previous posts for this matter...

To save sms to pc, please read my previous post on 14 october,2006 (to rick)....

To PK:
Some times, it restarts/hangs when one try to install incompatible softwares but other than that, it has very stable and fast user interface.... faster than SE/ Nokia phones....

To Hira:
You can record about 29 minutes video with sound (as 3gpp format) to phone's memory at highest resolution settings..... After recording, transfer it to your PC or memory card.... So, you can record more 29 minutes video....
You can record audio upto 1 hour long with unlimited number of files ( depends upon free user memory on phone).... You can record phone calls/ FM radio programs upto 1hour long.... Read my previous posts on 2 and 13 september,2006 for this feature.... While it has 4X digital zoom camera.... It supports skins (not themes) but you cannot download new skins .... 4 skins are available in X700....

To BOSS:
Sorry brother.... but it is not possible for me to send to you complete MP4 movie (127MB!).... Make your own movies using Mpeg4 Direct Maker software.... Thanks!

To mik:
Also note that SE W550i has only 256MB phone memory with no memory card slot.... For walkman features, also consider W700i .... It has memory card support with almost same price....

hai usman.plz help me friend.i bought this samsung phone a month back.i bought the phone with bill for 9000 indian rupees from a local dealer.actually he gave me the bill for the phone but he didn't fill the samsung warranty card which was in the kit.i didn't notice it when i bought the phone.actually yesterday i was checking the kit suddenly i saw that unfilled warranty paper.i called the dealer but he told me that there is no need to fill it.actually i was concerned about the warranty.he told me that for warranty bill is enough.what do u think usman?and one more thing.is there any way to know the place name (like CELL INFO service in nokia phones) in samsung X700.thanks a lot in advance.take care.
