To Muhammad Usman:
Read my previous post on 10 October, 2006 and also today's post of Ali.... Also Select menu....settings.... light settings.... Backlight.... On : 15 seconds ....
But after all these settings, my X700's battery empty again after 35---36 hours.... Since it also depends on usage of different functions (like backlight mainly).... Your new X700 battery time is normal....

hi to all.
plz any body specially GURU USMAN tell me the real battery Standby time of new X700.
i have a New mobile,

it use normaly but it's battery works only 33 to 40 Hours. i purchased mobile 1 week before. Plz suggest me what i do.

Check that pics resolution is set at SXGA (1280 x 1024 pixels) and quality is super fine.... and transfer these pics to PC and compare these pics to previous pics.... Also it's picture quality directly depends on light conditions of surroundings.... If you got same quality, then check the display brightness settings.... If not, then it is the camera problem!

To All X700 Users:
I have installed FLURRY MAIL freeware software on my X700.... So i can access to my email inbox of yahoo from my X700 using gprs connection.... This flurry mail software can handle several email accounts at a time.... Since i have not try with Gmail account yet but i know, it will also work with Gmail account!
Go to www.flurry.com from your PC (or Opera Mini) to signup .... After registered ( which is free )., you will receive a text sms message within 1 or 2 minutes on your X700.... Open this sms and go to options then “cut address” and then select “Go to url” of jad file.... This will install the software through gprs connection ....
This is very fast and also totally free!.... When a new email is arrived, you will receive an sms text message, so, open flurry mail software on X700, and read it.... It has OFFLINE support.... You can read, delete, reply, forward, write new mail, check new mails, read contacts details and many more options....
Don't install it through getjar or any other site because if you install it from flurry.com site, then you will get latest version and after login to this site, you can add more email accounts to your flurry mail software.... and you can also change the settings and if new version is available, you can update it easily....
So, start using it.... If you have any problem, email me....

I bought this phone in May,2006.I was quite satisfied with the phone, especially, its camera. The picture quality was awesome but now, i am not getting the same clarity in pictures. Also, the pictures are not that sharp. Is there some problem with my phone camera...Please help!!!!

To All:
There is no “mute” option in video player of X700 but you can play video files in silent mode.... In standby mode, press “#” key for 2 seconds.... a “ Quiet mode activated” message will appear.... and you can see the speaker icon with cross .... Now, try to play any video file.... It will ask to you that “Play sound in quiet mode? ... Yes or No”.... Select “No” option.... The video file will be played without any sound....

To Mubarak:
Before starting softick ppp, please close the pc studio software.... and when you successfully download one software and want to download another one, just press “Add” button in java uploader and select jad file .... note that softick ppp shows “1 device(s) connected... ppp is enabled” message.... now enter ( #*5737425#) code in standby mode in X700 .... Select ppp up... usb.... serial download.... This will start downloading.... and java uploader will show “ Sending xyz ....” then “midlet list is empty” messages....
You cannot install same software again if you have installed this software in java world already.... installation will not start.... delete this software from java world and then you can install it again....
If your mobile freezes/restarts after selecting “usb” option in X700.... then try this:
1.Restart the mobile ( if already restarted then skip this )
2.right click on softick ppp icon and shutdown it then again activate it .... You can see “1 device(s) connected.... ppp is enabled” message.....
3.Now add jad file into java uploader and proceed.... This will install it ....

You purchased it a month before with no answering machine feature! From which country you belongs?... In pakistan, it comes with answering machine feature.... You have an older firmware of X700....

I have installed many games/ softwares like Sun mobile dictionary, Agassi Tennis, Tree Of Nodes, Quran 1.0, Rayman3, Mobile Fighter, Note Pad 4.0, Periodic Table, Tour De France, Prince Of Persia 3, Johny Rumble 2, Dynamo Kid, Opera Mini and 5 text / html files (installed as jar file made from Read Maniac Lite)... i also have 3 default samsung games ... and still i have about 1MB free in java world.... These are from different sites including getjar site.... I sent these sites links 2 times before but still not approved by moderator.... I sent these links to your email address.... Please check your mails now!

TO USMAN:
When I reach the step of selecting host or guest under new connection, my it will respond. Then I followed instruction from mobile4arab site which require:
PC suite,softick ppp,and uploader only.
1- I dicconnect from the inet,stop the windows firewall and the antivirus.
2- I entered Internet in the APN field and disable proxy.
3-started pc suite.
4-started softick ppp
5- upload the application 1341KB
6-entered the code #*536963#
7- press C
8- entered #*5737425#
9- selected PPP up
10 selected USB.
11-selected serial download.
The application started to download until finished and working properly.

when I tried again to redowload the same application I faced aproblem that is softick ppp wont connect.

any solution?

To Fabias,

Battery life depends upon the usage of the phone. I have purchased it just a month back and the battery life is good. it lasts for around 3 days. I talk for abt an hour, listen to music/FM for an hour and check SMS.

However, if your talk time is high or if you are watching too many vids or listening to MP3 its going to come down soon. And this is a common phenomenon with every multimedia phones. Infact my friends Nokia 6270 drips down very quickly if he watches vids or listens to songs.

You can switch off the "Key-pad tones", "Key-pad lights", "Unwanted Tone -- such as the one which appears when an SMS is sent etc", "decreasing the brightness to 2". This should help you certainly.

Comparing with others, I wud say the battery life is good if not exceptional.

Hi Usman,

I have a problem with my handset. I do not see the 'answering machine' option in my handset. I purchased it just a month back. Is it due to some firmware upgrade?

Another thing that I would like to ask is about the video player. Is there anyway to mute the sound when the video is playing?

Also suggest the best game for this handset that I can download from GetJar.com

Guyz what to do with the battery of this phone...the battery performance of this phone is poor and thats the week point of this phone the battery doesnot last for a day or two...
even if you fully charge it..i saw a post by usman he said to do some settings like turn off light..turn of keypad sound..etc i dont that but not works :( so any comments on this guyz ?

To All:
If you tried USB installation procedure for games provided by "Azeem" (on 8 November, 2006) and unsuccessful even after all correct settings... Then check java world settings by going to:
menu...applications... java world... settings... and enter:

APN: internet
Login ID : (Keep Empty)
Password : (Keep Empty)
Proxy : Disable

and click "Save"

If you don't enter APN name, then you cannot install any java application on X700 ....
and after installation, clear the APN field otherwise you cannot access internet from midlet like Opera Mini .... and ofcourse, don't forget to enter this code after installation : ( #*536961# ) to remove any wap internet access problem....
