Yes! It is not compatible with nokia picture messages .... and for strange problems, restart the phone and then play music files.... but if problem persists, then in standby mode, enter this code “*2767*3855#” but it will delete all of your images present in photos/ downloaded images folder, all phone book contacts present on phone's memory ( not sim ) , all internet settings, but not games... and you will get normal factory settings again....

I think, it cannot support internet tv channels.... and read the comparison of 6233 with X700 now.... while wait for Z550i comparison few days more!
To Bhaskar:
If on pc , you can listen distortion in sound of mp3 file, then definitely it will affect badly on X700's speakers.... but for making louder files, make mp3 files from vcd files using VCD Cutter v 4 ( i have cracked version) and set bitrate to 224kbps by Jet Audio 6.2 .... then convert this mp3 into mp4 file using NERO burning rom 6 software and adjust bitrate to 128 kbps for mp4 file .... it will decrease the file size but with excellent sound quality/ louder file....

hy usman and all jenius ppl here .i've some problems concerning my x 700.first this phone isn't compatible with sms photo messages..second it doesn't work well with mobinil here in egypt.third in music i ve downloaded many songs last month and they work well but yesterday while i was listening to one it stopeed in its middle and then gave avery strange sound and then stopped and gave not supported item.another song which i heard it completely much times 'while i was listening it stopped at its middle and then little seconds from another song came and then everything stopped...what is that ?someone plz tell me ...thanx

Do you remember me. It's been quite long since I came to this website. After thinking for long time, I have now purchased Samsung X700 in Saravana Stores, Chennai, India. This store is said to be the cheapest seller of all consumer items from clothes, utensils, electronic items, etc in India and I got this mobile set for Rs.8300(without bill)(Indian Rupee) and 1 GB Micro SD (Kingston) for Rs.1980. The only disappointment to me is the low volume of sound. I have increased the mp3 volume in my PC to 150% of the original and transferred it to my mobile. I am just thinking whether it will affect the stereo speakers in the mobile. So, please tell me regarding this- will increasing the volume of mp3 to more than the original one affect the stereospeakers.

hy usman thanx very much for ur last responses concerning the prices of both w550 and samsung x700.i bought x700 last month and it is very nice especially the cam which i compared it to n 70 (2MP)at day light and gave better photos on both screens.but i admire the sound quality of w550 but can u teell me is w550 still the loudest and best sound player in market till now...here in egypt w550 is sold more than 350 us dollars...expensive..

Here is the detailed comparison of Samsung X700 and Nokia 6233.... (Part 1)
01. Phone Size / Display:
6233 : (108 x 46 x 18 mm) / 256K TFT screen with 240 x 320 pixels. (Weight : 110g)
X700 : ( 108 x 44 x 19 mm) / 256K TFT screen with 176 x 220 pixels. (Weight : 95g)
2. Memory:
6233: Internal 6MB shared , External 64MB microSD included (upto 2GB supported) Hot Swap.
X700: Internal 35MB shared , External 64MB microSD included (upto 1GB supported) Hot Swap.... but in pakistan,memory card is not included in the kit....You have to buy it separately.....
3. Camera Quality:
6233: Having 2MP camera without flash light, having 8X digital zoom/landscape mode. It records video in VGA (640 x 480 pixels) resolution directly saved into memory card.... Which is excellent .... Recording time depends on memory card size.... Video recording in VGA mode ( 1 minute = 12MB approx.)
X700: 1.3 MP camera without flash light, having 4X digital zoom/ no landscape mode.... It records video in QCIF (176 x 144 pixels) resolution into phone's memory upto about 29—30 minutes long.... You have to transfer it to memory card manually.... Video recording in QCIF mode ( 1 minute = 1MB approx. )
4.Multimedia Capabilities:
6233: Excellent 3D sound quality through stereo loudspeakers with 5 band equalizer.... better and louder than Samsung X700.... You can minimize the mp3/ media player but cannot open any java application at the same time... It supports full screen video playback in landscape mode....
X700: Very good sound quality through stereo loudspeakers but less than 6233.... You cannot minimize mp3/ media player .... full screen video playback is impossible....
5.Supported File Formats:
6233: mp3,aac,aac+,eaac+, midi, wma,amr,mp4,m4a,3gpp,jpg,gif,,png.
X700: mp3,aac,aac+,eaac+, midi,mmf,smaf,amr,mp4,m4a,3gpp,jpg,gif,,png.
6.Java Applications Support:
6233: Have MIDP 2.0 / CLDC1.1.... It cannot minimize java applications.... Maximum JAR file size limit is 1MB.... Installation through wap/ bluetooth/ usb cable is possibe.... You can install applications on memory card as well....
X700: Have MIDP 2.0 / CLDC1.1.... It cannot minimize java applications... Maximum JAR file size limit is 300KB.... Installation through wap is easy and fast.... still unsuccessful through bluetooth/ usb cable.... Installation is possible only on phone's memory....
7. Bluetooth headset Compatibility:

X700: Have A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile).

When call is CONNECTED, then enter this code.... then you can record both caller's / receiver voice in loud mode.... and at the same time, you can listen caller's voice and the caller can listen your voice as well.... and by the way, you have written wrong code!.... the actual code is #*22671#

To Adeel:
It should work with windows 2000 professional.... so when installing samsung pc studio 3 , what is the error message you see....Please stricktly follow the instructions given my previous post on 24 august, 2006.... Or still unsuccessful , then install windows XP or use USB bluetooth dongle for file transfer from pc to phone or phone to pc....
If you cannot install Samsung PC Studio 3 software on your PC, then you also cannot use the USB Mass Storage feature of X700.... Which is very fast way of files transfer using cut/ copy/ paste method through usb cable....

1 problem I found:
I enabled voice recoding using short code:*#22671# then make a call. Other party answer that call, but there is no speech. But if I disabled recording by *#22672# then make call, it works fine, both parties can talk.

I have found a software named as "Mobtime Cell Phone Manager 2006" Its Latest version is 6.1.0, This software support almost all cell phones, particulary X700, Thru this software U can export all messages into excel, word etc just by 1 click. This software provide option to export all messages & contacts into mdb file and then import it again in same phone or any other phone, this software is not freeware, i have crack it thru patch available on some russian & chines sites.
Even u can download multimedia files thru it, its complete software 4 backup, uploading & downloading files

To Adeel: For file transfer to phone's memory, use Samsung PC Studio 3 software . This is present on X700's CD.... It works only on windows XP or windows 2000... For info about how to use it, read my previous post on 24 August 2006.... ( USMAN )
