To bk: Always save mp3 files to music folder, midi/mmf/amr to downloaded sounds folder.... While X700 does not support wav/wma files at all... ( USMAN )

Hi, i bought this phoen yesterday. looks great. I have huge collection of ringtones made by me in mp3,mid,wav,wma & amr formats. when i try to transfer the same via pc studio is says "OPERATION NOT SUPPORTED" how do i transfer my ringtones to phone and use it. which folder to copy it on phone. PLLLLLL HELP ----- i think UAMAN can help here.

To All X700 users:
For reading text files or web pages on X700, i am using “Read Maniac LITE” freeware software..... This software makes jar/ jad file from any text (.txt) file or Web page (.html).... which you can download to your X700 through OTA ( over the air) means through Wap Internet.....
I know, there is another same class software named “mj Book Maker” but midlets (jar) created with this software will be stopped to work after 2 or 3 times opening / reading the book and shows a fatal error “ Run Java class error” .... So i am only recommending one software “Read Maniac LITE” for midlet books creation for X700.... The midlets created by this software works perfectly and smoothly.... You can change the font size/ font colour/ back colour on X700 while reading the books....

Since Samsung X700 has no JSR-75 API ( application programming interface) which is necessary to access phone's file system from a midlet ( if X700 would have this API , then you can open and read text files / web pages directly from “other files” folder using Read Maniac FULL version but unfortunately samsung forgot this important API ).... so, instead of using FULL version , use LITE version.... and keep jar file size less than 300KB....Since X700 cannot install software with more than this file size limit!....

Hi, I bought a samsung X700 on Aug31st and Im very happy to have bought one.it costed me 9300rs and has evrything that a costly moblie offers. The only draw back is that im not able to minimize the MP3 player and no customised MSG tones. Any software to add customized MSG tone. Thanks in advance

To deactivate the answering machine ..... Go to menu... messages... answering machine... settings... activate : off and click "save".

TO Ashu: X700 has no such settings but you can use vibrating ringtones. Read my previous post on 15 september 2006. And check the resolution of JPG file... For megapixel image, Change the resolution to (1280 x 1024) pixels. It must be opened on X700.... ( USMAN )

To KHANZ:
This will increase the battery duration of your X700:
1. Recharge only when battery is low means you see low battery message....since connecting to PC with usb cable also recharges the battery!
2. Keep LCD Brightness level to 1 and keypad tone "OFF"....
3. Keep dim backlight "OFF"....and keypad light use at night time or use your custom time....
4. Use headphones instead of speakers when listening radio/media files....
