(To Imran Zahid):
sir..i'd like to say that its ur choice if u want to shift from this phone and buy a nokia or sonyericsson or any other brand for that matter cuz its ur money its ur choice and its u whose gonna use this phone... your all complaints are NOT valid..some of them can be fused like usman said but otherwise sometimes you have to compromise if you want so much features in a much lower price.. in my view this is THE only phone which has so many features in a much lower price as compared to others and i'd like to say that its 'value for money'... u dont get a 1.3 mp camera, bluetooth & usb connectivity, fm radio, 35mb internal memory, expandable memory, privacy feature, user friendly & quick user interface, java application/games support, mp3/mp4/3gp player, edge, gprs, java MIDP 2.0, large good quality 256k color screen (and many other features) in just Rs.9300 new handset here in pakistan.. but if u want to buy a phone that has same features from SE or Nokia then the least money u'll hav to pay is around Rs.12000 to get that.. but again its ur choice if u want to switch or not.. but please consider the features before u sell this lovely phone..

To Imran Zahid:
I have about 80% data ( videos, pics, mp3, mp4 etc) on my 512MB micro SD card and my X700 does not slow down at any level.... navigation through menu in phone's and card's memory is very fast!.... To be honest, i have NEVER faced any kind of hanging problem at all.... even using OPERA MINI or any other game..... I guess that this may cause a problem when you try to press buttons too quickly..... Any way, there is problem with your set because it heated up too early.... I will tell you this.... I have checked the mp3 playback through speakers in full volume from memory card .... and X700 played high bitrate mp3 files non-stop for about 5 hours 10 minutes till message appears “battery is low” .... but it was not heated up... the battery temperature was normal....
I can transfer all kinds of files from PC to my X700's memory card directly using usb mass storage option through usb cable.... I am using vibrating ringtones which can ring and vibrate at same time on my X700.... Yes, there are some plus/ minus points of X700.... but at this price range, NOKIA or SE cannot provide you these great features..... like lock all folders including messages/videos/music/memory card /sound folders .... answering machine feature.... phone calls recording / FM radio programs recording upto 1 hour long ....
So.... if you are not satisfied with X700.... then the choice is yours..... JUST LEAVE IT!!! .....

Mr. Usman, thank you for your reply. I'll check it soon. Honestly, I am fed up of this phone. There is no profiling option and I have to select between normal and quiet mode only, the battery life is short, java applications restart often ( faced this trouble often with opera mini and quickIM), phone hangs and heats up quickly. I dont know the purpose of having an expandable memory when my photographs, recordings, videos and softwares cannot be directly saved on the memory card. There is no way of archieving my msgs into folders of my choice. Lacks basic organising capabilities like notepad etc. Downloaded photographs cannot be zoomed in. After saving few photographs and recordings on the memory card, phone has become very slow. Ringtones and vibrator dont work at the same time and the vibrations are very low, if walking, I bearly feel it. I would welcome suggestions from u or anyone else on this forum otherwise, I will soon switch over to a SE or Nokia.

To N.H KHAN :
Please explain briefly..... you said that when you switch on the set, it hanged!.... and the software load itself..... these are two different things! .... and when this problem started..... i mean , after installing any software from wap.... or playing with some secret codes incorrectly.... or using any other function....and can you dial any number or enter any code in standby mode or not? If yes... then try this master reset code in standby mode: #*7728#

To eddy:
You have activated the quite mode by pressing “#” key for 2 seconds..... you can see the speaker icon with cross on the main screen ..... so, to deactivate quite mode, just press “#” key for 2 seconds..... There is no need to go to settings! Now, you can listen your ringtones for incoming calls!......

somehow I lost the ringtone for incoming calls. When setting the volume I gives me a message that I need to deactivate the Quiet Mode first. When checking the quiet mode under "Sound Settings" I can only choose between "Mute" and "Vibration". It is now on vibration and there is no third option. I have set a ringtone (MP3) to incoming calls but it only vibtates, any solution?

To HAMZA BUTT:
X700 has lower volume for mp3 player (on speakers) than K750i but the sound quality is excellent.... not much difference and on headphones of X700, you can listen very loud crystal clear sound for mp3's....and the maximum volume for FM radio ( on speakers ) of X700 is very good...... very loud and clear sound..... and i have not checked D500.... so i can't tell you the volume comparision of both the sets!....

Dear usman,
Fortunately i have read post of “dutchy” on 21 march 2006, before purchasing mobile, so i have do the same which he says, i mean, after purchasing mobile, i have discharge the battery completely even mobile power goes off, & then chage fully. thats why i was confused, that whether new mobile should be charged fully before use, plz help me to remove this confusion. bcoz somebody says it should be charge fully before using new mobile
Now battery lasts 4-5 days only when i use it with overall not daily, 15-20 minutes message, 1/2 hour media player & 1/2 an hour talk time & 5-10 still pictures shooting, bcoz i have not yet connect it with usb 2 transfer files from PC, i am using bluetooth 2 transfer files from PC. I have charged my mobile 8 times now.
plz clear this confusion, so that other people who are purchasing new mobile should know about, how 2 treat new battery?
best Regards,
Waheed.
