i would recommend sony ericsson k700i if your budget is very low .quite good cellphone.blockbuster of last year.if you can put some money then think about samsung x700.if money doesnt matter just buy sony ericsson k750i
prices:-sony ericsson k 700i-7500 indian rupees
samsung x700-9000 indian rupees
sony ericsson k750i-13000 indian rupees
choose one one of them dont think about 6630, 6230i

The new SE W300i is a rich featured walkman phone which has approximately all great features of Samsung X700 except these:
1. It has small screen (128 x 160 pixels) with TFT 256K colours.
2. It has low quality camera (only 0.3MP) since it can interpolate images into 1.3MP but after transferring to PC, you will find that it is still not as good as X700’s MP images.
3. You have definitely missed out security ( privacy) feature to put password on media folders which is only found on X700.
4. It has no HOTSWAP for memory card slot means to replace the memory card, you must open the phone’s casing.
5. Much higher price than Samsung X700 ( I can’t tell you the exact price but may be 12—15 K rupees range since it is not yet available in pakistan!)
While positive points list is too long…..
1. FM radio with RDS (radio display system)
2. Both FM/ media player can be minimised.
3. Coming with 256mb MS M2 memory card with support upto 1GB(since M2 cards are still very hard to find in the market).
4. Battery life is three times more as compared to X700 when using media player / mp3 playback. This is amazing. Even W300i is the leader in this case against all SE walkman phones.
5. Full screen video playback is possible in W300i.
6. You can use 3.5mm jack headset using fast port connector and adapter which is impossible in X700.
7. It supports EDGE Class 10 with quad (4 bands) 850/900/1800/1900mhz
8. It supports 3D games. It has MIDP 2.0
9. It has definitely better sound quality of mp3/aac files (max.192kbps supported) with better equalizer as compared to X700.
10. It has web browser ( wap + html) net front 3.3 but not as good as opera mini.
11. It has usb mass storage function same as X700 for PC connectivity.
12. You can view media files (mp3/aac) info on secondary external display (101 x 80 pixels) with play/pause buttons placed on the phone’s casing.
It is found that SE W300i has much better multimedia playback capabilities since it’s software is same as that of SE W800i . It has more features than SE K750i (except of ordinary screen display size and ordinary camera).
It is clamshell design ( I am not a fan of clamshell design!)
So, overall it has rich features but with much higher price than Samsung X700.

i agree that ringtone doesnt sound loud but sufficient for acknowledgement .for your information ringtone quality is good but sounds littlebit low.and only low ringtone volume cannot be reason to neglect phone.you can set mp3 ringtones at 192 kbps .then you will find ringtone volume quite loud.other phones having same features are 1)sony ericsson w550i 2)sony ericsson K750i 3)nokia 3350.i would recommmend to chose between k750i and samsung x700.come on there is big difference of 4,000 indian rupees.buy x700

yar i have heared that x700's ring tone quality is not that good n loud...i want loud tones can i set loud tones in x700 plz let me know me wanna buy a cell with features like x700 as early as possible

7.menu system is great and phone response is greast compared to all phones

cons-average battery life (nearly 30-35)hours if 2 hours radio/mp3,1/2 hour video playback,10 messages,20 minutes talktime and bluetooth.if you want to increase life then for first three times you should charge battery only when it is fully empty.dont make any mistake
audio volume is little bit low but high quality audio is assured
you cannot view photoes or video in full screen
other mobiles-sony ericsson w800i-20k i really like it best phone
nokia 6270-15k only audio and radio is great forget everything except audio and radio
motorola v3i-14k i dont know about it but good phone
if you have patience wait for w800 to available for 15k it will take nearly 5-6 months .buy x700 i am using it from 3 months i am enjoying it . i agree that it is not popular in india but i will recommend this one for you.

1.no there is no java mp3 player but i think it would be available.
2.goto settings then phone settings then extra settings then check auto keypad lock
backlight automatically turns off after 10 second.you cantune music upto 5 hours if batery is fully charged

I have a few questions abut the phone, acctualy about it's mp3-player. So:
1. Is there a Java-based or some other mp3 player (not the built-in) that can be minimized during play?
2. Is it possible to lock the keypad and turn off backlights when the built-in mp3 player runs? How long will the battery last if I listen mp3's with headset?

x700 plays videos and mp3 directly from memory card and plyback is instant because of micro sd card
if you have moved video from phone memory to card memory then you can record more

install samsung pc studio 3 and usb drivers provided.then connnect usb dat cable to pc.and press left softkey then settings then phone settings thenusb settings then select mass storage
open my computer you wiill have removable drive there just copy and paste files over there

Hi me once again..few more things..
1. what is firmware and how do i know which version b there whn i b buying the phone?
2. i m hving 2 choices...w300 of SE and samsungs x-700.....
So wch shud i go for and y...if u can compare..
3. can we talk throgh speakers..genraly convienent while driving..
4. is there any confrence feature available....where 3-4 people cantal on same call.
5. some video formas not running and hv to b run with less resoultions....mp4 etc..i it true..
6. video quality is jst abt avg acc to many reviews...and i wonder hw much of video can b seen whn covered by black strips.....
