thanks mate for your help regarding opera now i can use opera and i am able to vie websites just like in my pc.but i really need opera 3 instead of opera 2.because opera dont use own download manager to download files it uses wap browser to download files.and opera 2 have so many bugs
i am very much impressed from your reviews about motorola slvr 7 and sony ericsson k750i.you are just awesome

1.if you are using usb dat cable the connect cable to pc
2.enter this code on your mobile #*536963# to enable java download
3.open your 'network connections' dialouge in your pc and locate the icon or link entitled 'create a new connection'
4.a wizard will popup hit next and then tick the radio button 'set up an advanced connection'
5.then hit 'connect directly to another computer'
6.select com port
7.select user who want to use this connection
8.after completing you will see incoming connections icon
9.click on properties.make absolutely sure that your 'communications cable between two computers (COM[insert you port# here]) is the ONLY box checked.
10.make sure your port speed is set to 115200
11.check the box 'always allow directly connected devices such as palmtop computers to connect without providing a password.'
12.select ip adress as 192.168.3.1
13.enter code #*5737425# to get to the 'JAVA serial' menu
14.select ppp up then usb
15.open java uploader which you can get from www.d500world.tk misc then XXXX java uploder.
16.open java uploader select jad file.be sure that jar and jad files are in same folder.
17.enter #*5737425# then click on serial download .then enjoy java applications and games on x700.
if this is not working then just by bluetooth dongle and folllow instruction on mentioned link:-http://315.fiberworld.nl/d500/
you can also instal games and applications from wap browser
please reply if you have suceeded or not

to all my friends
i think that all of you using AAC or mp3 to listen to music.but you can enhance your experience by these steps.there is new format which is promising to deliver high quality music in much lower bitrates MP3 PRO.maximum bitrate is 96 kbps but quality is greater than 192 kbps.i recommend this format to everyone.mp3 pro enhances sound and volume level.the most special about this format is mp3 pro supports X700.the steps are:-
1.download jet audio basic it is free if you dont want additional features
2.open jet audio click on convert or just press Ctr+2
3.select files then select output format as mp3 pro
4.click on config
5.settings are as below
channel -stereo
bitrate-constant bitrate -96 kbps
quality -high quality(low speed)
6.just click on start and start enjoting high qality audio
i would recommend encoding from audio cd or 320 kbps.

sgh-x700 is better than k750i.x700 has better sound,better display,great camera,usb mass storage,stereo ultra speed bluetooth.it is the best mobile phone made by samsung.

i like it.its a good mobile but i wanted that i install games and soft wares in it.i am using usb cable for this purpose when i send any game file it sys operation not supported plz tell me anybody for this problem.second question any thing install in it and where i find the games and softwares for this phone plz solve my problem ok thanks

Hi,

Where can i see on my X700 how much data (Kb/Mb) i have received with (over) GPRS?
Or is there some code for that?

One more thing.
In Samsung test menu (*#8999*8378#) i can change sound settings....
What value i have to change to lower the lowest sound level of FM radio (I'm useing headphones)
The lowest sound level of FM radio is not quiet enough.

No doubt x700 is the best bar cell ever by samsung,but ppl who r saying tht it is equallent to K750 NOWAY K750 has its own cashet,i bought X700 week ago n am enjoynig tht set but still i have a crave to get K750,the main charm is, it has got 2Mega pixel cam,n year a go i was using SE,but samsung has remarkable work done i.e is x700 gud job,where is the owner of this site please convet my regards to samsung

Thanks Usman for such a helpful post. My biggest consideration is budget so I think I should go to X700 ,As I have already written Camera and MP3 are not a big issue for me.

To Solanky:
Both SE K750i and Samsung X700 have some plus and minus points that you must consider. These are:
1. K750 has 2MP camera with flash while X700 has 1.3MP without flash.
2. K750 does not have EDGE( faster version of GPRS) but X700 has EDGE class 10.
3. Joystick of K750i has got so many complains . It is not user friendly. You must keep it away from moisture/dust.
4. K750 can play mp3 player/ radio in background while in X700, only FM radio can be minimised and mp3 player cannot be minimised.
5. K750 supports upto 4GB MS DUO memory card while X700 supports upto 1GB microSD cards.
6. K750 has 38MB shared memory as compared to 35MB for X700.
7. K750 has phone book of 500 contacts with 20 fields while X700 has 1000 contacts with 12 fields. Both supports photo call function
8. K750 has bluetooth v 2.0 / infrared port while X700 has bluetooth v 1.2 with no infrared port.
9. X700 has standard USB mass storage function which is absent in K750i because for K750i, you must install PC Suite software on your PC after installation of special drivers. Also one cannot access to memory card from PC suite software but you need another file manager to do so. X700 is better in this case because X700 does not require any external software/drivers when using USB mass storage function for file transfer to/from PC (direct access with PC/ memory card is possible in X700).
10. K750 records conversation during calls while X700 cannot record calls but can records voice only in standby mode.
11. K750 has FM (20 channels) with RDS (radio display system) for displaying artist,album,title information displayed on screen (but broadcaster dependent). X700 has FM (30 channels) with no RDS function.
12. In X700, you can put password on sensitive media folders (like images, videos, sounds, music etc) which is impossible in K750i.
13. K750i has high sound quality mp3 player with equilizer but surprisingly, low quality preinstalled mp3 ringtones.
14. Price of K750 is about 30% higher than samsung X700.

So, what you are thinking? Yes…. SE K750i is not very perfert phone even no one is perfect except God. But SE K750i is still on top with tough compitition from Samsung X700. If you have more budget, then go for K750 otherwise X700 will be your’s alternative choice……

Thanks for your help. But Camera and MP3 are not major consideration for me. 1.3MP is enough for me. And I really don't have much money to waste that's why I am thinking about X700 because it is K750i costs Rs. 12500 and X700 Rs. 9500 here in India. I just want to know the overall performance of this phone-like stabilty, software bugs, reception, call quality etc.

You are right. The cost is really cheaper of this phone in price-value factor if we compare it to X700.
Any other suggetions please???

In Finland, SE K-750i costs about 300 € and Samsung X-700 costs 150 €. That makes you consider to buy X-700 instead K750i.

U strictly go for SE K-750i. If u wanna go 4 rich Multimedia and sound experience then blindly go 4 Sony Ericssion K-750i. Samsung X-700 is just a chunk of plastic. K-750i ha got a better CAMERA ( 2MP ) with Flash, which is absent in X-700.
In my opinion SE K-750i is the better than X-700.
But in case you wanna hav a sleek n sexy cell phon and u hav a lotta money to waste then go 4 Sam X-700.......

I am going to purchase a new mobile in this month and I have two options Samsung X700 and K750. I have Digicam so camera quality is not a issue for me but in other terms is my decision of going for x700 right?? How this phone stands in front of k750 because if we leave camera all the features are same in both???

there is problem when you try to download from non-wap sites.try to download from wap sites.when opera closes itself to enter wap browser.you can download files which are less than 1024 kb in size.mp3 file on cooltoad could be vbr instead of cbr.no any cellphone support vbr files.

Start PSM Player and click “File ”menu then click “open” to select ringtone file ( mmf,midi,wav …). This will load the selected ringtone. You can play the ringtone before conversion. To convert mmf into midi, first load mmf file then go to file menu then select “create midi” option. This will show a dialogue box, select check box “ringtone mode” then press ok. You will see a save dialogue box. Click to save button. That’s it. You have successfully created midi ringtone from mmf file.
To increase volume of mmf file, load mmf file then go to settings menu and select volume option. Set volume and master volume . Click to apply then ok . Play this before saving. If ok then go to file menu…. Create smaf then smaf 40 chords or smaf 16 chords. Then if you want to add vibration in it, select vibrator ckeck box then click ok. Then click to save button. This is mmf file with high volume. You can convert midi into mmf file. Just load midi file then select create smaf option …. Click ok , then click save button……..

Hill i want to download mp3 4rm cooltoad but on clicking i get message opera has to be exited & when i click yes wap gets started & then i get message unsupported content. After exiting 4rm wap i get message do u wanna resume game. Can u pls clarify.
