good phone but it cannot beat k750/w800/w810/k610 or 6233/4.if samsung wants to succeed at the candybar segment the just have to produce a d600 with 3g and fm radio at the size of x700

It’s not true. You can listen FM radio through speakers as well but headphones must be plugged in to start the radio otherwise a warning message will be displayed that earphones are not detected. This is because wired headphones acts as an antenna. You can activate speakers by radio menu. But there is no option to listen radio through bluetooth headset as one can only use bluetooth headset for MP3 Player.

1) If i used 1GB MicroSD, Am i right to create four folders for music as each folder is fifty songs.
2) MP3 in maximum volume is better?
3) Does it record up to one hour of video?
4) Can it transfer 8MB of MP3 file on the internet to this phone and from their phone via bluetooth.
PLEASE TELL ME THE OTHER DETAILS IF I NOT MENTION IT SOMETHING ELSE.

Somewhere I read that FM radio can be heard only on a wired headset and cannot be played on the loud speakers.

Samsung X700 has RTK operating system (ARM9 Series ) same as D500 / D600 have.
To 'help_me':
Nokia 7360 is a totally waste of money because of only 4MB memory with no memory slot and MP3 support is useless due to low memory. Nokia 7360 cannot compete with Samsung X700 in any case except it has good FM radio.

It is the best phone for the price and the features it has. The battarey is much better than other Samsung models.Although it is not symbian O/S, but you can download Java software from www.GetJar.com like compass, Notepad, Multilanguages Dictioneries, Praying times, Spreadsheet, Messanger, Games, etc through wap direct to the phone. The pictures are very clear and sharp. I am using 512MB Micro SD memory card I made many folders and I put every 50 music files in one folder. I select the folder I like to listen to, and add it to the playlist and keep exchanging folders in the playlist.
The radio is excellent and the sound is better than in N70. The video quality is QCIF. THe MP3 sound is normal. I strongly recommend this phone to any one.

hi ppl..i m thinkin of buyin the x700 or nokia 7360 frm the l'amour collection..pls giv ur valuable opinions...n i read in a post when u iv a misscall the x700 phone hangs..is it true?? isnt that a problem..any software probs generally?

No.. It CANNOT store more than 50 songs.. Sucks.. go buy Sony Ericsson instead.. trust me.. i was once interested in this X700.. not anymore..

hi all samsung X700 users. i hv 1 question ie does X700 have an operating system(eg. symbian etc) if yes wat is the name of tje OS. and can we download themes in X700.

Samsung X700 offers good features at 10,500 pakistani rupees that no other phone can provide. A 1.3 MP camera has highest resolution (SXGA – 1280 x 1024 pixels ). It records video as 3GP file at QQVGA (160 x 120) , QCIF (176 x 144 ), Sub-QCIF (128 x 96). But it plays MPEG4 video files as well. To play 3GP recorded files on PC, you must have 3GP player installed on your PC like NOKIA Multimedia Player or Real One Player.
For file transfer, bluetooth is very quick as compared to infrared. A 5MB audio file takes 7 or 8 minutes with bluetooth while with infrared , it takes about 30 minutes to transfer. For guys who complained about the absence of infrared, my advise is that you can transfer files by bluetooth or using USB Card Reader for SD memory card or using Samsung PC Studio 3.0 software.
While 262K TFT display (176 x 220) is excellent. You can listen mp3 files by bluetooth headset as well but it is not included in the kit.You can send messages / pics to a compatible printer by bluetooth without using PC. The volume of mp3 player when using speakers is low as compared to FM but the sound quality is excellent. It supports maximum 192kbps files but you cannot find any difference between 128kbps /192kbps/320kbps , as the only difference is file size. You can make your own playlist.
You can send email with attachment of graphical file ( gif or jpeg only) and maximum attachment file size is 300KB only. It records voice memo upto an hour with unlimited number of files depending on available memory.
With moderate usage, battery takes 2 days to discharge while complete recharge takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

the samsung x700 is one of the best phones in its kind and price range. dont think twice before buying it.it has all the features that are used by people today.

Can i store more than fifty songs once i put my 512MB or 1GB MicroSD? Anybody tell me what is the answer for this question? Is it better when in maximum volume?

I just would like to know from you, how long does your battery stand. I mean say that you use your radio and mp3 etc moderately, then how long does it stand. and otherwise also how much is the battery life?
