I purchased a Samsung X 820 in the Uk in 2007. It made it to 2008, just. I had to send it back to the UK for repairs, because Samsung Australia were not willing to assist with one of their companies'faulty products.
I have been advised by the repair company in the uK that it was irreparable.
The 'fault'with the phone was in the design, in that it was made up of layered plastic that had a weak point midway that termonated at the screen top. This ended with the phone virtually breaking in half.Of course if you purchase this model be prepared to invest in $ and time to get it repaired if it fails. Other than that the phone was absolutely great technically.
I am advised by the repairer in the UK that the phone is now not avalable and has been supeceded.
They replaced mine with a Nokia 6500

Bought this phone 2 years ago. It is for people who have style and for those who don't care about technical characteristics. It's more like a jewel than a high-tech toy. If you go to parties often then get this phone. If you stay at home every night... don't get it. ;)

Alter the setting to ANY TIME.
This will help u out.
For newbies(new mobile users), most of the guyz will have trouble in accessing and having a good feel on the device keys.
It will take approx 2 months(max) to become 90% comfortable with the X820 keypad.

I used this mobile for a long time & its pretty fine mobile ..only problem is memory is short if compared to modern mobiles rest every thing is fine ....it can't be charge with USB .. use charger

hello, the first time i saw it i was amaze and i buy it right away, the camera is good, the video is clear, the mp3 plays right but the problem is the keypad of this phone its not working whenever i use it at night or in the dark places i cant see the keypad because it is plat unless you memorize the keys on this phone. And another one the battery is poor. i hope you help me to fix this thing about the keypad.

Got one a week ago . Battery life so poor especially for an outdoors person like me. The superb slim size and other features ok but phone can't vibrate and ring at the same time. If you can avoid it well and good, if you're stuck with it, just enjoy the other features

Get this SUPERsetup.exe software (25.6 MB) and convert your favourite MP3 song to AAC format. This convector works excellently plus its free.
It converted 11.3 MB mp3 file into just 2.3 MB aac file. The quality is also good, almost equivalent to MP3

Though its old, but my friend managed to get hold of 1 piece for me...
Infact i got this phone with a special pack of 2 batteries and a battery charger..
I m so HAPPY :), I've kinda started showing off.

this is a good phone but it does have its let downs such as it cant vibe&ring,the memory is bad,you cant minimize the mp3 and the battery life is poor however i think it is very strong as i have had it for 1/2 a year and it hasen't snapped and i have dropped it alot and all that has happened is there is a small black dot at the top of the right hand corner!

Well am a new user bought this price for 8000 INR.
The best thing is the look of this device.
Its not worthy to complaint regarding Memory. You cant expect anything more from such a device(slim).
This device gives you only looks, A unique look to stand in the society. This device is only for those who prefer looks instead of various other application/functions(Example ME).
People/Chicks love the look in your hand.
Guyz if you are disappointed by the memory(only music lovers will be), you Should/Must buy a Mp3 player(its cheap). The camera is 2 Mega Pixel. Am sure no one will be disappointed by the clarity as am not and if any and any one is disap.... buy a Camera(lol).
Lastly i would like to say its a unique phone and am searching for different Software. If any one knows any websites/blogs for this mobile I would love to hear from you. Contact me at sm.qadeer@gmail.com.

I've had this phone for a year now, and i must say that i was definitely not impressed with the battery life and the fact that it can't vibrate and ring at the same time. I therefore hated the fact that i spent all my savings on it... (since i'm a mere student) However, after getting used to these two limitations, i started to love this phone. The design is brilliant and the memory is great if you compare it to the internal memory of other phones. Well done samsung!

Greate little phone with a lot of style, very slim. Great screen, ok battery life, but it snapped on me. Never in the back pocket, maybe dropped a few times, but that's about it. I am pretty careful with my stuff.

oh my gosh. this is the most fantastic phone ever mad i had it for a year and a quarter and one day bang slammed in the car door and snapped very delicate and fragile be carefull :-) they have apparently stopped making the x820 in all shops ive been to they said it did not sell very well i think that they should start making them again and they will earn quite a lit of money i hear that lots of people are complaining about this

Im using this phone for over a year now and its the best phone till date. the only problem is the memory, if it only had a memory card then this wud have been the best best phone made ever...i am satisfied by its performance but you have to be careful while using it, its fragile so dont use it roughly, be gentle:)....if you try to mess with it, it will switch off! that's another little sweetheart i missed...nice phone SAMSUNG...Good Job!
