Samsung's One UI 7.0 beta to arrive next month

Samsung's first public beta for One UI 7 based on Android 15 was initially rumored to go live this week for the Galaxy S24 family. That hasn't happened yet, and according to a new rumor, it won't. Instead, it's been pushed back to the third week of August, allegedly.

The reason for the delay apparently has to do with the One UI 6.1.1 update, which is still making its way to older foldables, tablets, and some high-end devices. So Samsung wants to focus on one update at a time, it seems.

One UI 7 will be a pretty big update, coming with a redesign of Samsung's skin on top of Android. According to recent leaks, it will have a revamped Quick Settings panel that's separated from the notifications, more rounded corners throughout the UI, new icons for Samsung apps, a new lock screen design with battery charging status and thicker shortcuts, a search bar at the bottom of the app drawer, and a new camera app which should be easier to use with one hand thanks to the placement of the settings and modes.

There are also rumors about new, smoother animations being baked in, but we'll believe that when we see it.

And what is it, that it is doing noticeably faster? Opening apps don't count cuz its just an animation that can be made faster

Same here with my latest, s21u, s22u, s23u and 24u, but like my job phone Xiaomi 13T pro more, faster in nearly everything, for my use.
