My turn to ask a question :)
On the Vodafone NZ website, it lists "Colour Backlights" as a Feature, saying "Set your screen backlighting to different colours for when friends, family or work call". I can't find how to change any backlight colours. Anyone know how to do it? Or is Vodafone mistaken? They said this about the GX15 too (my previous phone) but I could never work that out either!

Battery life: I have to recharge about every 3 days. I thought this was pretty poor after my very first cellphone could last a week - but I now figure, hey, what's so hard about charging it :) I guess I muck around with it a lot more too though.
Secret Data: You can set tasks, contacts etc as "Secret" - I think so someone else looking at your phone can't see them. "Show Secret Data" effectively unlocks it all, so you can see them again (not sure how many things you can hide though).

I'm very interested in this model, Vodofone Ireland have it at a great price. There are a couple of questions I can't get answers to though, so I'm hoping someone here who's used one can help me out.
Firstly, how is the battery life? The figures Vodafone give actually sound too bad to be true - for a change.
Second, has anyone used it as a data modem with a USB cable? Particularly, can it be charged/powered over the USB cable? It wouldn't be much use for mobile internet access if the battery gave out quickly.
Thanks.

Themes take up a lot of space, mind that.

if you clear most of your phone memory ( pics, music etc) onto the memory card then the phone memory will have the free space to accept whatever files you're sending.

it would probably be cheapest and easiest to just buy a memory card reader for your pc if it doesn't have a memory card slot.

To Eoin - no you can't turn the tone off when taking a photo. It is a safety feature, prevents (or TRIES to) unauthorised pictures being taken of people etc. The best you can do is change the shutter sound.

I got this phone yesterday and I cant find any fault with it at all, if you think about it, this little €99 phone has just about all the features of the €229 Motorola V3x!!Anyone who buys this phone wwll fall in love with it!!!!PS screen quality is next generation stuff, truly amazing!
To Spider: If you try to send files about 3-4 times it usually works for me! Maybe it finally notices that it has a memory card lol!!!

Howdy, bought the phone the other day as it seemed to be a steal at only E99 and had 3g, mp3 etc. However, mp3s will not send to the phone no matter how hard I try. Gonna bring it in for a quick once over in Vodafone and also pick up a 1gb sd card hopefully too.

if you want info about watching videos on the phone or converting avi, divx, mpeg etc into 3gp, scroll down and everything you need to know is there. the screen is small but it plays videos sideways so you get the most out of it :D
