hi helen, i did a search on the net and i fixed my phone. You will need to flash format your phone, so if you have anything saved on your phone im afraid its going to be lost, unless you can find another way to do it.
what you should do is:
turn off phone, take out sim card + memory card (just in case)
press #+power on button(ie reject button) to power on
then a white screen will come on with all this stuff, just wait for it to format your phone
then once finished it should work :)

omg, thats what exactly happen wiht my phone, it stuffed up yesterday (23/8/07), it just stays at the initialise screen.....
thinking of buying a new phone since i dont think anyone can fix it....

Could anyone please help me. I purchased a Sharp 703SHf in Hong Kong to use in Australia but am having some problems with it. When I power up the phone, it goes to 'initialising' and then goes back to the start up screen...this happens over and over and over and never gets past this option. I have had it working, sending sms etc but it's just now decided after a couple of weeks to do this. Would appreciate your views. Pls email me at Helen.M.Cole@nab.com.au. I'd be very grateful. have 4 java games which is recommended for 703 fones but the fone doesnt recognice the game! I already change the 0000000 to 0111111 and sync but still no changes!!! pls e-mail me your help @ friored_dave@yahoo.com

I have a Sharp 703 - the handset pin code was set by my daughter who is now overseas & I can't figure out how to reset it as I don't have an instruction manual. Can anyone help me please? Cheers

mine came from japan and had it converted here in manila, philippines. everything is working just fine. however, it couldnt read my kingston 2GB minisd. it can read the panasonic 64mb though. i was able to put mp3's inside it. but i only put 128 kbps songs. and it is also pickiy in playing which mp3s to play so i just choose randomly. i have a few questions for eveyone:
1. What brand of minisd do you use and how large is it's memory if you can play mp3s?
2. Where can i buy the usb cable for this phone?
3. Where can i download some games?

but i'd really like to change it to Japanese firmware.
How can i do this? i've searched everywhere but found no answer.

Hi everyone!
JUst had my vodafone 703SHf just bought it from a friend from Japan , and Im from the Philippines . I love the color its pink and I enjoyed the camera but the problem is I cant send MMS and cant use the internet for this Phone .Do you know the settings I can use in order for me to send MMS and use the internet as well for this phone My sim card is Globe and unfortunately they dnt have any idea what the settings is as well. I can send SMS but my problem is how to send MMS and access the Internet or GPRS.
Anybody who knows the settings kindly email me please in order for me to send MMS and access internet and GPRS

you need to make a master reset on you sharp 703sh to set up ur Globe gprs or smart.
this is because the APN settings is lock.

I have a friend who works in japan and as a gift in my birthday she gave me sharp 703. It was pretty enough but I'm not contented because I can't received any MMS. I had already tried many times to activate my MMS and GPRS.Until now I can't get how to enable the GPRS and MMS of my phone. Could you send me how.- jery, philippines

this phone is cute alright, but its always asking if i want re-provisioning and update.
its so irritating!
is there any way to get rid of that?
and it cant play songs which my frend sent to me via bluetooth! whats wrong with it?

I guess this might work try inputing 8888 as your handset code, casue it works on my phone. GOOD luck on Reseting your phone

hmm... cause i found one sharp phone in sim lim square. . . but i've been given a k610i sony phone . . . but in singapore wat version will it be under for sharp?
