i have been tryoign to upload a picture form my com to the 902, but my phone is asking "HANDSET CODE" which i really dont know what is the code
can someone tell me what is the code number.>?

beware that some Japan version of the 902SH cannot be unlocked according to sources from Japan. Certain IMEI numbered series can be unlocked. Even with a software and cable certain numbered IMEI series 902SH cannot be unlocked.

No particular one, you can get a good one for aprox. US$10-15
There is no need for additional driver or software installation required,just plug n´play.

any specific card reader that i need to use? i heard from my seller that i ned some software in order to upload to sd card( to secure the file) is it true?? can i get you email address.. ??

Why not use a usb-cardreader,but the phone doesen´t support files with larger bitrate than 192kb/s though

this is a marvelous phone... no one can compare to its crystal clear screen... good camera indeed. the only thing that is troublesome for me is the mp3 which you cant directly transfer from com to your 902. also this phone doesnt bundle with the usb cable

i have been trying out this phone for a day now... i finally got to play pseudo MP3 as ringtones...for the MP3, you can convert it to wav or aiff via itunes... it cuts the trouble of conversion
1) make sure audio is either in wav and aiff format and convert it to mmf format via YAMAHA WSC-MA2... IT is a free download. it is basically a drag and drop application. it works.
2) transfer the mmf file to your sd card under.. private/vodafone/my items/songs and ringtones
3) go to the data folder and open the ringtone, copy or move them to the main directory.
4) go to the sound settings, and viola.... you can change the ringtone
my problem is my media player cannot read the mp3 nor the mmf that i loaded in my sd card... in the mysh-folder under audio.... no use...
what the heck is the sd audio????
grrrr.

Since both phones now at the same price,
which one do you preffer and consider more durable? Also, which one has a better camera quality, better voice clarity and better battery life?
I NEED AT LEAST 10 opinions here, since no reviewers on GSM arena talk about those important features of the phone that I stated above.

Phones are directly imported from Japan Vodafone .....
this message above is being written in ebay.. is it true that the sharp 902sh japanese version can currently be unlock... coz i currently only know that the sharp 902 and sx813 from uk and hk is unlock... wat a bout the japanese version? can anyone tell me... thanks

You can assign mp3's as ringtones. Go to ebay search for sharp 902 and buy the info on how to do this (nothing to do with me). i had this phone but sent it back as it is very big and get bad reception with vodafone.

Aloha! I'm thinking about purchasing a Japanese Vodafone 902SH (Unlocked). Just wondering if any current users with the Japanese version has experienced problems with a UNLOCKED Japanese 902SH? Feedback would greatly be appreciated. Mahalo!

If you livein Japan and plan to stay there for awhile I would go for the SH901iC from FOMA. It will blow away the 902SH from Vodafone! 901iC can record from VHS, DVD, etc. If has a timer function which you can set and record your favorite show just like a timer on a DVD machine. Alot more great features than 902. Check out the SH901iC from FOMA!
