there are only two versions which can play mp3 as ringtone, one is the taiwan and the other one is euro....... i have a frd who has the HK version but he could also play mp3 ringtone but it is unusual for hk version to play mp3 ringtone......
Look at the languages settings, does it have the chinese language?

sorry it doesnt work for u, im afraid i dun have any solutions to this at the moment. this method might only work for the euro version.

Hi ive tried it but it does not work,
i have firmware version 1.140.
I dont think it works with this.,
is there a way to get the new firmware on it so it will work?

Not sure about Aust fw coz im using the euro fw but u can try the method i wrote earlier
In ur mini sd card, in the my items folder add another folder called "Games and More".
insert the card back to the phone.
Turn off ur phone first and then hold onto the number 8 when the phone is off...then keep on holding it and turn on the phone. u will go into a system mode. at the bottom u will see "00000000"... u have to change it to "01111111".
by pressing hold onto the circle middle button and press 6,5,4,3,2,1,0.
"middle button" + 6 = second 0
"middle button" + 5 = third 0
"middle button" + 4 = fourth 0
"middle button" + 3 = fifth 0
"middle button" + 2 = sixth 0
"middle button" + 1 = seventh 0
"middle button" + 0 = eight 0
then turn off the phone and turn it back on normally...
afterwards, go to Game & Application -> Java Settings -> Synchronisation...Synchronise it!!!
at the end u will see the games folder will have a mini sd slot.

Im trying to get java games from my pc to my phone, i have tried all these ways but nothing works does someone have a guide out there>?

hmm.....actually its ur choice to which phone u like the most. im just telling u my experiences and my choice...haha....
for file formats
AUDIO: mp3 (192kbps), AAC, MMF and midi. mp3 are only available in the euro and taiwan fw.
VIDEO: 3GP, asf
PICTURE: jpeg, gif, jpg

Thanks alot for ure adive man i think im going to go for the sharp i think it is a better choise and to watch tv on it is better.
By the file formats i meant like what does it take eg. WAV, MP3, GIF, 3GP, AVI, ETC....

hmm....a month ago i wanted to swap to the 904T as well...but i cat give up on my 903sh...haha... well... until now, the HK experts on unlocking jap phones told me that 904T's ringtone is louder and the camera isnt that good althought they are also 3.2mp CCD camera. The natvigator in 904T couldnt be use in all areas. The typing of SMS in CHINESE characters are alot easier.

N91 is a great phone but it will get frozen easily... why? bcoz all nokia smartphones do since they do not have enough RAM and ROM to support the graphics and storage for the phones. My past experience is that when i tested the N80 in a shop, it froze immediately which made me sooooooo shocked... i didnt know what expression to give... haha...
But by looking at what u wrote, u wanted to play games and put vids, i suggests u to get the N91 BUT my overall suggestion is NEVER get NOKIA phones, they obviously suck in a way. No offend. Wait for 3-5 week and nokia's latest phones will drop their prices dramatically.
Btw, what do u mean by "a list of all the file formats the phone takes"...

hey all i want to get the sh903 but i cant decide between the sh903 and the nokia n91
i can get the n91 for 400 euros and the sh903 for 250euros im kinda worried about the game factor on the sh903 im not that keen of a mobile gamer althogh i do like to play some times. also i would like the see nice webpages on the phone not only that but i like to have loads of funny clips on my phone and things like that now that u know what i want could u help me decide please ppl! thnx alot enjoy ure day.... also do u now where i can get a list of all the file formats the phone takes would be gr8 thnx....

I am a Sharp 903sh user and iam satisfied with it.I just want to know if u have the review of Toshiba 904 T I just want to know the feedback coz i want to get one but not to the extend of giving up my 903

i put the games straight into the mini sd games and more folder directly without using any software.
i download the games from the website and save them into the computer then put it into the mini sd card

There are two kinds of 903sh. one is from the uk and the other is from japan. unfortunately the japanese made double locks on the 903sh so the experts in HK couldnt unlock the second lock, even if they had unlocked it, the phone will get frozen and die. and sorry i dun know where in singapore they are selling...but there are still some stocks left in Hong Kong.
