Can i get my gx25 specifications changed so that i can download content larger than 100kb. If so how or where can i do so. Appreciate your help!

No, you cannot overide the 100kb limit.
Yes, the SMAF file does transfer fast, and yes you can set is as ringtone. You can also convert WAV files (uncompressed MP3) to SMAF, for that you will need special software which you will find here: http://smaf-yamaha.com/tools/downloads.html
You need to transfer the SMAF file through your Handset Manager. (PC Software)

Just want to know whether the SMAF file can be set as a ringtone on GX25? Is GX25 fast in transmitting the SMAF file from my computer to itself via Bluetooth? Also, does my computer need anything special in order to transfer the SMAF file from my computer to GX25?

"Window like" button underneath up/down buttons is for camera access.
Cannot overide 100kb limit on data transfer.(unless you know assembler...)
Cannot send .jar or .jad files to mobile over bluetooth or with PC software. (I read it is sometimes a condition when Network agrees to brand mobile)
This mobile does not play MP3's so you cannot send MP3 via bluetooth or PC software.
TIP: Convert MP3 to SMAF
Cannot program mobile off, or I haven't found it. Phone goes on when alarm sounds, even when it is a reminder from calander.
Calander VERY impressive. Displayed in 30 days, can sync with oulook easily, I read it can take up to 8 entries per day(with seperate alarms), I don't have more than 6 entries per day. Displays entire reminder on inside, or will scroll it on outside screen if to long and phone is closed.
It is possible to type numericals, press and hold letter, or cycle through to number.
One of the very impressive features that I found quite handy is it's aility to set up to 8 alarms. I use alarms often, so now I don't have to change the time constantly. I leave the morning alarm set, and then change another alarm.
Another nice feature is that you can set the duration of ringtones. 2-59 seconds. So you can play just the bit of music you like for sms, or mms.(also aplicable for calender reminders/entries, alarms, etc.)
Another feature, you have different ringtones for SMS, MMS and WAP msgs.
No, you cannot turn the sound of for camera, but there are some discreet sounds, so your poor victim(the one you are trying to photograph without their knowledge) might think it is a msg.
No active flip.(Cannot answer when you open mobile) Read that this feature was removed due to survey.
The mobile is very fast, a number of people were complaining about how easy it is to press Vodafone buttun(right top) but when you press red phone button it immediately exits, not like Samsung "Please wait...". But in anyway I did not hav problem o easily pressing Vodafone button for longer than first day, it's a new phone, there are bound to be some changes to your routine!
BEST: The best asset of this phone is the screen quality. Honsetly, I have checked alot of phones, they just don't compare. The quality is crisp, and clear. You have to see the quality for yourself, this is it's selling point. Screen quality better than Nokia 6680, or 6230 or any other Nokia. Screen better than Sony Ericson K700i, K750i, K800w. Better than V3 and V220 moto, better than D500 Samsung... It's like the matrix... "No one can tell you what it's like, you have to experience it for yourself..."

Hi i've had this phone for a good 5 months and have recently seen the sharp gx25 ferrari edition for those who haven't seen it i recommend you do try but i want to take the covers off my one and spray it red and black to give it a two-tone effect does anyone know what sort of a screwdriver i would need and is there any sort of diagrams of how to dismantle the unit without breaking it if so send an email to chamd001@medway.org.uk please help someone!!

any one know how i put games jad or jar in phone whith bluetooth?
i get a error and mp3 too when is put them in phone from computer.

I have a few questions to the people who use this phone before i buy it.
1) Are you able to program the phone to turn on and off?
2) How good is the calender? can u place multiple entries with seperate alarms on the same day? how long can each entry be?
3) About the sms feature, is it possible to use the numbers while on the lower case letter setting, eg a,b,c then 2 without swapping to the numeral input option?

great fone, like omg amazin screen, but i also want to know what the how to turn off the sound when i take a picture and wot is that window below the up and down arrows? enail back asap as i am positivly intrigued, love it!

Have to say was a bit perplexed when Icouldn't get various items to work on my GX25, but one call to vodafone and their people had the phone up and running in no time. I am very pleased with the photo quality, love the games, great when on the train to work, ring tones could be a bit more special, but can get downloads. I thnk it's great.
