Does anyone know of a good website that will explain the difference between all the different types of screens out there. TFT, CGS, CTN etc.....

              sucks with the bluetooth/infrared locked
if unlocked, everything would be perfect.

eddelimit, the V801SH is available only in Japan and maybe Europe (where Vodafone service is available). The Japan model will not work with other Vodafone USIM card, it will work only with Japan USIM card. I doubt that the 801 will be available in Hong Kong.

eddelimit, the only model that I know of that has the 320x240 video record capability is the V601SH (available only in Japan from Vodafone). My V801SH in the best mode is 176x144 (QCIF) although it will record up to 426 minutes on a fresh 256MB SD card. If you are in Japan V601SH with a 2MP camera is the one to get. I think the video quality on the GX30/32 is 128x96 (subQCIF) because it's not as clear as the 801 and the maximum record time is about only 1.5 minutes. Sorry I can't help you on the ringtone since I'm not into ringtones at all. Hope you find the phone you like.

thankz mike to ans my doubts.. i would also like to ask that, is the video a QVGA? which means the resoulution for a video is 320X240? if not, does anyone knows which phonE got this function? and i know that this phone does not allow mp3 or wav to set as ringtonE, but is .mid file loud enough? coz some .mid file are quite soft.. thankz

eddelimit, the GX32 can handle up to 1500 in and outbox SMS mail on the onboard memory.

As I said that bloke's a foney he doesn't have a clue phone from the 2006!?! lol them phones are barely on the prototype stage yet maybe its a bit believable if he said 2005 phones.

                                  Gotta point there tealeaf...

he didn't mention the exact specs though. So who knows... See, that's what I don't like. If you guys can't tell us what company you work for (you're anonymous here anyways) and don't tell us what kinda phone it's gonna be... why even write?

But anyways...2006 is so far away. Who knows if we'll even have those kinda phones then as we do now.

Its just funny that this sentence he wrote... "it has 3gpp, email, camera, video camera, film playback (2hours worth), mp3....."
Well Many phones out now have more features than just all this so if this so called unreleased phone ain't gonna be out until 2006 its going to be out of date before its released.

                                      I agree with tealeaf....

some phones have symbian, some have Microsoft etc. Some phones just have the manufacturers software. They are all different.

Some phones have 4096 (ie. Nokia), some 65K and some 262k color screens... Resolution depends on whether it is a STN, TFT, CGS, UFS etc.

So how come you can say that your phones betta than ours when they are all the same ;)

It's obvious that as time passes phones will get better, and some companies will develop different technology to others.

Well Munknick no phones do not all have the same software, its interesting who you work or, exactly what phone have you got cause all them features you mentioned are in current phones lol.
