The SHARP GX10(i), GX20, GX30 and GX15 are all exclusive to Vodafone. That means they are all branded with the Vodafone logo and software.
If you want to get non-branded phones you will need to order a GX22 or GX32 from the Asian market.
And yes, there are 3 Megapixel phones already available, but only in Korea and Japan. DOCOMO (Jap), Anycall (Samsung, Kor), KTF (Kor) and CYON (LG, Kor) all have 1-3 Mpx phones by now.
cheers,

I thought the 1 gig card would be good for MP3, could fit a lot of music on it. (plus pics) Anyway, who wants the bother of lugging a spare SD card round with them.
Question; Does anyone know what phone out now (or soon'ish) has the best camera? Are there any 2MP (or higher) camera phones about? Thanks again, O

Hey yall,
well, who says that people aren't traveling? Also, I believe the Motorola A840 is/will be available worldwide, not just Japan (it's old tech there anyways). CDMA and GSM are very popular here in Australia, having the opportunity to have both is a huge plus, especially when you need to visit rural areas. The same goes for the states. I know what I'm talking about, I've lived in both countries.
It's true, verizon and sprint are CDMA, and their coverage is HUGE. Don't forget that a dual band CDMA/GSM phone is true world wide coverage. Many Korean's or Japanese people from overseas can appreciate it.
Back with the GX30 the fourth band is important for the best coverage possible.
And I don't think its very obvious to most that SHARP is better quality. That's why people are discussing it in here, aren't they? I'm not saying that Nokia phones aren't solid, just their hardware isn't as good as SHARP's phones.
So far every phone that SHARP has brought out is of great quality and I believe that will stay that way. It's for no other reason that the SHARP GX20 was the "Flagship" of Vodafone (other than the millions of contracts they have). Anyways, you all know by now what I think about SHARP, so try it and you won't regret it!

Duh! everyone knows nokia is a piece of junk and sharp is quality!!!!! you gotta pay the price but what you pay is what you get and dualband or quadband doesn't matter at all unless yu travel overseas. and now what are yu talking about CDMA and GSM??? there are only a handful of dualband CDMA/GSM phones on the market and you can get them only in Japan. in the US verizon and sprint is CDMA and the rest is on GSM

Also, I forgot to mention.
The GX30 is a QUAD-band, it has the extra 850 Mhz frequency which the N 7610 does not have. Doesn't seem important? It is. Not all cariers may support 1900 Mhz, and having the 850 band covers the US GSM net flawlessly. Of course, some areas don't have GSM at all, but maybe Sharp will produce a phone like the MOTOROLA A840, which is dual band CDMA and dual band GSM?
We can hope for another great phone in the future!

You can't compare the Nokia 7610 with the Sharp GX30. Just can't. The CGS 256k color screen is way better than a TFT 65k. Also, the camera in Sharp phones are the clearest and best quality cameras you can get. Not even Sony Ericsson can compete. The only downfall (again) is that it's a Vodafone handset, which means that the menu is crap and some functions aren't included (there is no email client, which sucks). The quality of the GX30 is excellent and a very solid phone. To me, Sharp and Nokia have two totally different missions. Nokia is all about mass-production and trying to stay market leader. Sharp is multi-functional by not only prodcuing mobile technology. It's not trying to be market leader by producing hundrets of new models, but focuses on a few with damn good quality. The price isn't cheap, but the phones are value. How many models with a 4096 color screen did Nokia produce? Dozens, all the same in features and style. Sharp design's aren't the greatest, but at least they always add heaps more functionality to their newer models. Nokia is just trying too hard. Sorry Nokia lovers.
cheers,

Also, what are the differences between GX30 and GX32? Although the last question bothered me a bit, but I 'm almost certain I will go with the GX32 to try Sharp for the first time. The price difference between the GX32 and the GX22 in Canada is almost $300. Is it worth it? To me the GX32 is just too hard to let go.

I'm about to purchase the GX32. Just is curious, is there any way other than transfering videos from PCs to the phone with less than 400kb in leggth? Wouldn't 400kb be too small? how would any video from the net be 400kb? Please help me on this issue, this is the only category I'm really lost. Is there other phones than is better in this category?
