Dear unknown I wasn’t referring to the different opinions but to the people who said a lot of things just to say them!!! In fact I bought GX 30 and here s my opinion without prejudice!!!
The frame rate that u re referring is a little bit slow indeed but u can choose a faster speed (there are 3 speeds for taking pictures). The trick is to have a steady hand!! The thing is that I `ve seen pictures taken by other mobiles and GX30 is far the best cause what it loses on frame rate it gains on picture quality. I know that new mobiles will come out soon with bigger lenses (therefore better images and videos) but I don’t know about the prices!!! I ve seen pictures taken with the Sony-Ericsson Z600 and I must say they re very bad!!!
The video of GX30 is not that good or what you were expecting but I haven’t seen what videos look like on other mobiles, so I cant say much. However when you take a video and your objects don’t move quickly it s quite good or acceptable. The flash light is great and I ve taken pictures in total darkness and they look amazing!! The mp3 player I haven’t test it yet!!!
The games are GREAT and I ve downloaded some great games!!! It s like playing on a game boy!!! However keep in mind that if you play a lot you can kiss your battery’s life good-bye!!! It doesn’t last that much but that’s understandable!!!!!
Now for the bad things!!!! The flash light can not be switched off when you receive calls or messages and sometimes its annoying cause its really bright!!!
You cannot store incoming messages to different folders. You can only keep them to the incoming-folder or process them and then keep them but without showing who send the original message. Of course if you thought about it when you change your mobile and have stored messages on it you cant take them to your new mobile unless you send them. But it still bugs me a little!!!!
Another thing is about the calendar. You can store things to do but it doesn’t have a wake up option for those. You cannot store birthdays that you will be reminded every year!!!! It only have alarm clocks for something like that ..but there only alarm clocks!! They don’t repeat the remind every year or month!! That’s not really good isn’t it?
And of course the bluetooth, infrared and cable functions are really really false moves from Sharp and Vodafon!! I think that the true guilty here is vodafon who I think wants to get money out of everything!!!!
In conclusion I think that the phone is really great and it’s the first with 262.000 colors and 1 mega pixel. New mobile with that kind of capacities will go out but for the time being it s the best!! I advise you all to read carefully the specifications and if its possible to see up close (and working) the mobile that you want to buy!! Only then you know what to really expect!!! And a last thing. Keep in mind that when you buy a mobile with camera video games etc etc the battery will not last very long unless you don’t use them that much!!!
I hope I ve been a help for some of you!!!!

blimey electra chill out!!! i gave some info about gx30 refering to some of the things you've sed people have talked about - in MY opinion they are valid and not false (and I AM grown up ;) ) - i've had 3 other phones that came with data cables, but not only that it was more annoying that when i had the gx30 Sharp were not going to have either the data cable or a stereo handsfree kit until a couple of months later. I agree about obviously needing a card for mp3 stuff but I found the mp3 quality to be poor in comparison with other phones. As for the camera the framerate is far too low - yes of course 1Mpix is great but such a low framerate makes taking pictures with people in totally crap. Personally i'd rather either play off pixels for a better framrate allowing you to capture shots better, or else wait for the any of the upcoming Mpix handsets - most of which also have Stereo mp3 playback.
Of course people should check specs but most peope know its often very hard to pin down exact details on the finer aspects of phone from spec sheets.
....and remember peoples opinions are just that.......and re-laxxxxx

i think that it is a really cool phone but the price of it is to high.
I know that it has to be a bit expensive because of all the stuff that it does and the things that it has.
P.S. I love my sharp

Hi ppl, I am a very interested buyer of the GX-32. But my concern is this: I understand you CAN'T use mp3 as ringtones, but CAN you use WAV files as ringtones? Thanks! Sorry if someone asked this question already but I haven't seen any post about Wav files being used as ringtones.

Andy you must get a card reader/writer to transfer mp3 files to mem card. I bought a mem reader/writer, it's not expensive, and it works with 7 diferent cards format, then you can transfer all the information you want to the mem cards and read them with the phone. The sound that you can transfer with the sharp aplication applies only to rings and stuff like that, not mp3 files. is that ok?

I purchased this phone because it looks great, sounds great and is generally funky. However I took it back after 1 day when I discovered I cannot transfer jackshit between other phones. I thought bluetooth gave data transfer freedom? The phone is a waste of time, as you cannot scan around in pubs and transfer silly stuff. IE Bluetooth's fun factor. This phone should be compatible with Nokias, Sony's etc. If Sharp wants to succeed in the mobile phone market they better get their act together and make their phones compatible. Buy a Nokia 6230

I agree with electra, i bought a mem card of 256mb memory for the mp3 files and i can put there about 60 music files. The memory of the phone, that is good also comparing to other phones, it's for pictures and phone numbers, games, etc, not for mp3 files. The sound is great also.
I'm only sad with the bluetooth and infrared not working with other phones, but if you see other phones like e700, doesn't have bluetooth. Don't work with other phones, doesn't matter, it works with computer, if i want things from friends, they will send thrught the MMS. I'm happy in general with the phone, and i have for a month already.

Well, people I saw the phone and played around with it!!To all of you that saying that its sucks, what are u talking about? Are u doing it on purpose? The phone is great. The camera is the best I ever saw!!!You move around and it doesnt blur at all!!! The video is very good for a mobile!! Yes it loses some movements but what do you expect? Its not a video camera its a mobile!!!Go buy a camera if you like something better!!!!!!!!!And about the flash light if you want to take something from a distance go buy a photo camera!!!You cant expect from a mobile to have all these things!!!Also do u know many phones that comes out with a data cable? Of course not!!! Its obvious that these things you have to buy them on your own!!!About the mp3s its obvious that you have to buy a memory card!!!! God, people get real!!!I read all of your comments and I didnt want to buy it but when I saw it I was amazed!!! You really dont know what u re talking about!! I think that u dont even saw it!!!You think that nokia is so much better? Then go buy a nokia!!!Of course new mobiles will go out soon and all the time. Make your choise but do not give the others false information about gx30.Finally when you buy a mobile you should read the features and specifications before!!! Everyone knew that it can not play mp3s as ringtones, so dont get upset!!!! Thats all and please please dont give any more false information...GROW UP!!!!!!
