When i first got this phone i liked it a lot. The picture quality is great and the screen is nice and clear. However, those are the only positive things i have to say about this phone. It is hard to use, and everything takes a long time to do. The pictures have to "load" to just look at them, and you cant just browse through the pictures, you have to keep going back and waiting and waiting.....if you dont like to wait..dont buy this phone..its not quick. It also doesnt have games, speakerphone, and the volume does not go up high enough. Everything about this phone is complicated. I say stick to motorola their phones are a much better value for your money.

This is a great phone. I took some photos and printed them - I was shocked to see how well they turned out. Here are some tips:
To view on a computer, transfer to another phone, or print photos:
1) Select picture > options > Copy picture to your SD Card
2) Remove card and go to one hour photo and print!HINT: You can set camera quality settings to HIGH for optimal results.
3) To copy pictures to your SD card FROM your computer, you have to turn "Read Only" off in card properties using windows explorer. You can then add pictures and use them as wallpaper too.
I also like the ability to set wallpaper on both main screen (large, excellent resolution) and on the small front display.
The only issue I have with this phone is minor: ringtones - very limited - and no games. I copied a short MP3 to the card and tried using that, but no recognition! Still playing.

So you can skip buying the data kit from t-mobile and just get an SD card reader to hook up to your laptop. I was wondering about that but no one had a clear answer for me. Do you have to have a special program to load the pictures on your computer or just any photo program. Thanks a lot.

This my favorite phone yet. I love the photo quality...I was going to buy a digital camera but I got this phone and now I don't need one. Its so easy to pop the memory card in the computer and print awesome looking pics. It is a phone I would not recommend to a person that is not good with cell phones..especially if the support isn't that great. Tmobile is a very good carrier and has great customer service. I'm sure their customer service trys there hardest to assist us with our problems with the phone, even though it really may not help with manufactor related problems. I am a Cust Service Rep for a large cell phone company and I know how hard it is to find certian information and help people over the phone. And how things you can do at that given moment can be limited. I rate this phone 9 on a scale 1-10. I not really a game fan, but I will try that tagtag.com Have a Good Day!!!

This phone is okay and I did not get it for free - $100. the main reason I purchased this device, so I don't have to carry around a disposable camera to take pictures if something happens, like, an accident, etc. The features should be more user-friendly but I do not think I am going use any of those calendar stuff or any other the features - why bother? - I do not want my life to depend on a handy device that I could lose easily. The 1MP picture is okay for taking pictures and the video quality is so-so. I might switch to the new Samsung 5MP phone as soon as I go to Europe.

For a free phone with new activation, no complaints. Missing speakerphone, bluetooth, zooming with larger pics, louder earpiece volume, brighter backlit keypad, more accessories(then again Sharp is still unique to the US market). I read all the complaints and say if this phone is so bad, get an entry-level GSM phone without any bells and whistles.........

As I have read the posts of before there are ways to getting games for this phone, i have done some research and found a website to where you can download them to your phone, now keep in mind, free games equal crappy games, so Im not saying top of the line, but if you want games for this phone atleast something to play on your phone, go to the internet on your phone, then choose the option, go to url, then type www.tagtag.com now in the menu go to tagtag.java and browse the list of games, NOW SOME WORK AND SOME DONT, they have bandwidth limitations, so some games they terminate on you, and others will let you. This is the best that i have came up with since I've owned my phone.
So good luck and hope this helps!

umm, i think ur're very wrong. It was deffintely easy to put indepent ringtones on the phone.ALl u have to do is go to contacts.Click the person's name, then click options and then click ringtone. U can figure the rest from there hopefully. If u can't just post an opinion on here and i'll answer back.

Ive had this phone for nearly a month and it is great, but the only things I dont like about it is that there are no games, the support for this phone is nearly impossible to find. Calling sharp, they dont even give support for it and tell you to call t-mobile for support, which they then tell you to call sharp... loop.
but anyway you have to buy a 50 dollar pc link kit just to have connectivity to the computer, and there are no instructions with it, no support for it either, and the company that makes it does not even show it on their website. The software is hard to use and t-mobile says that they only support the modem driver section of the software and to get support with the rest of it, to call sharp, who says that they do not have any support for any part of the phone, software, or accesories for it. Basically this is a great phone, and if you just want to take pictures, make calls and record video, then this phone is for you, but it lacks games, good connectivity to the computer, and mainly, support.

So incredibly bummed!! The main reason I got this phone was for its ability to assign individual ringtones to my contacts. I have followed the instructions to a "T" but it doesn't work. Assigning a single ringtone to my profile is the option that works on this phone. I hate having only one song that plays over and over for every single caller. I like to know whose calling before I go digging around in my purse trying to find my phone. I thought I was doing something wrong or missing something in the instructions, but even my "tecnical genius" father couldn't get the instructions to work. We even save all the settings and nothing! So incredibly bummed. No individual ringtones and no games.

Camera is great, that's it. How do you get the annoying ring tones from goin off on every pic? I'm going to unscrew this to take out the speaker, which it has no speakerphone anyways! Why! I notice alot of people asking this, why? I can get 600 858x1144 pics with a 128mb card, which is nice. Get a card reader if you want to move pics. The cable is pointless with the software except for doing the address book. You could hold an hour of video, but it only lets you do 10 secs at a time! WHY? With the 128 mb card in it still won't let you use your ring tones unless they are shrunk down to like 50kb, WHY? With the hardware on this phone, it's the software that is killing it. Is there anyone with a recommendation to find programs for this? Help me out hackers. stlcraft@msn.com
