Hi, i'm from Pakistan and it's been a day since i've bought the C55.(i upgraded from C35i) I must say that it's a very cute cell phone and has great features and great ringtones. The only problem is that the ring tone volume is a bit low even if set to the max value but this is not a big prob at all...I think that if ur thinking of buying a new mobile go for C55 it's great for it's price (7000 Rs) and u won't regret buying it....Welldone siemens !!

when i saw this phone i liked it but i wasnt sure if the performance is as good as this phones looks. so here are the good and bad points i can can give after using the phone for a while=_=
Good Points:- Very light and small, good reception and can handle low signals in places where other phones die quickly.
great battery power, easy to use buttons and a nice amber LCD display makes reading text easier.Small charger and can be charged full within 2 and half hours.
Bad points:- Ringtone volume is too low and voice recording feature need some help as it doesnt records as good and as longer as ALcatel 511 does.
seeing this phone and the siemens sx1, i am sure that Nokia will have the run for its money in the future even though Nokia is still respected by me and others.
so the verdict is, buy it.!!!

I was confused of which to pick between this phone and Nokia 3530, but I finally bought C55, and what do you think...
I just love this cute stuff!
It sizes much smaller than the gigantic body of Nokia, I love its fuatures like the polyphonics. My mom wonders where is the cat that she heard from my room... She doen't know it's my C55 ringtone!
I love its blue display and keypads are also quite comfortable.
I also love the built in handsfree, I can reply calls without holding the phone at all. i put it next to my PC monitor and I can talk while I play with MAFIA in my PC. It is hell a fun way to talk. No need to plug anything in my ear!
I love the organizer that can recurrence every day. I used it to remind me when it's time to pray (I'm a moslem).
Nokia dosn't have it, does it?
Sound recorder is just a great innovation, my friends were envy me when they heard las kechup sang in my handphone, make me feel good!
I record it from my walkman, just put the earphone near the phone's mic, and play the walkman, I got the girls in my phone, hahaha...!
Other things, i love the voice command. it's faster to access the menu. Just say to the phone "Count it!", and it smartly brings me the calculator, or when I say "Let's play!" it brings me the game. what a smart phone, isn't it?
And I can choose many way the phone to shakes by the vibra menu.
I Just want to say that I love this phone!
But.... to be fair I also have some complains.
The phone numbers could be larger than only 50. it make me have to write down some numbers I call least frequent to my pocket note.
The game is fun, but a kind of slow loading, make me worry if it suddently hang. But it never hang, it's just slow!
In fact it teach me to be a bit more patient! Hahahaha....
So that's what I think about this phone.
If you wise enough, you will choose it than the Nokia. Beside, like any other low-end phones, no type is perfect!
Macth your need, so you won't sorry. It matches to my need, but not as much as it matches to my sense. It's a sensual phone, I think.....
So, for you who are also using this C55, please contact me if you have anything to make more fun with it.
I still wonder why Siemens doesn't provide downloads for us, Indonesian users. So if any of you know any websites that can I use to download polyphonics and pictures from my country, I appreciate it.
Thanks to guide me to buy this phone!
Siemens is 'still' the best phonemakers

Hi Siva,
First of all, I’m using the C55 for 5 months now,
It’s also the first Siemens phone for me, in like 4 years I wasted 6 Nokia’s.....
And because Siemens has the reputation to build phone with a high liability, I gave up the smooth Nokia feel, to give the Germans a change.
So far it did not let me down......it even fell out of my coat during a ride with my bike (try that with a Nokia....) and is still working fine!
Anyway, in answer to your first questions:
When I receive a call, the phone rings at the same volume as in the Sound Manager.....
HOWEVER, it also vibrates for one second, with “Vibration” turn off.....
When I turn the Vibration on, it keeps vibrating (like it should)
By the way, did you notice that it’s possible to adjust the kind of vibration....
(very cool feature, isn’t it?)
I did not yet find a way to turn off this “one-second-vibration”, so I’m not really answering your question, am I?
Regards,
John

Hello,
I have just bought a C55 set and got couple of questions that the owner's manual is not addressing.
Whenever I receive a call, the phone is ringing and also vibrating. (I have made the "Dynamic Vibration Alert" OFF, but still it is vibrating)
May be because of this Vibration+Alert, the volume of Ringer is less.
When I listen the ringer volume in the Sound Manager, it is loud. However, when I receive the call, the ringer volume is not that loud, I believe it is due to Vibration+Ring Tone.
In this regard, I have two quesitons:
1) Is this some thing normal that you are experiencing in your phone also?
2) Is there a way that I can turn off the Vibration and Keep only the Ring tone?
Could you please answer both the questions and send a reply. I would be very thankful to you.
cheers,
Siva.
