    SF65? HOW COOL.
Upgraded to SF65 on friday...took it back Saturday!! I have had (4 different) Siemens phones over last 4 years but was hugely disappointed with this one. Not fussed about mp3 or videoing etc, but not being able to overide predictive txt as your preference and it's illogical menus is inexcusable. In this respect, siemens has gone backwards as that's why i've always liked their phones. Got Motorola V3 on Sunday! Very pleased with it...the phone the SF65 should have been.

this phone is stylish but really its just a novelty- it takes ages to text, holds hardly any messeges and has a v small memory. the camera is really good quality tho if thats what your getting the phone for... but if your looking for a actual good mobile i would find something with a bigger memory.

Charlotte: It holds about 20Mb of shared mem for pics and other stuff and no, it can't record video.

I have a maybe silly question: Did someone find out how to set profiles up? I mean, I just would like to enable vibrator in loud env and not in normal one and just can't get it working...

By the way the IrDA is very nice as no driver of any kind required to link to PC for transfers nor modem.

the siemens sf65 is the first phone i have ever had so i don't know much about this phone but i do know that it should not be shutting down on it's own even in the middle of conversation plus I have only had this phone for about month and i omy use it when i am away from home. The t-mobile repersentive
says it could be battery so they will send me
a new battery under warranty so lets wait and see what happens.

I think that the phone looks really nice and I have read some good and bad reviews whilst doing some research. I would just like to ask those of you who already have the phone:
Can it hold a lot of photos? and
Does it have video recording capabilities as in some places it says it does and some it doesn't?
                Thank-you!

It looks like a VERY stylish phone, however does lack in some features. I have the 6230 which is GREAT! and i'm getting the Siemens SF65, which i think may let me down (since i already have such a GREAT phone!). However, camera will probably be better asd it can zoom in and the 6230 can't, ( though i know the 6230i, can!)

I have one question for the people who are complaining about the lack of features. When shopping for a phone, do you shop with your eyes closed? Do you not read up on the product your going to buy? Obviously the ones that are complaining are impulse buyers and its your own fault. The phone is perfectly fine, its just the people that lack important features, like the ability to research a product and purchase responsbibly

Really people!! this phone is the worse phone i've ever come across since my last siemens phone! Siemens are rubbish at makinhg phones. They don't do anything and are just too basic. I.. I.. I hate it...

I got the new Siemens SF65 today, I really liked the look of the phone and it was about time I "upgraded" from my Sharp GX30, which I thought was funny. When I got the phone I was saddened by it's features, I knew what I was letting myself in for, having no video and a small screen and no external screen. In the end it just wasn't the phone for me, coming from having a phone such as the Sharp GX30, I guess nothing will live up to it's standards ;-)

Well, it's been three days now with the phone and unfortunately my opinion is slowly starting to change on the Siemens SF65.

Firstly, i have a faulty handset. When i put the camera in portrait mode instead of landscape, when i zoom in, rather than the image zoomin in stages the camera zooms in the whole 4x and wont zoom out. Then when i try and take a picture it wont work. No buttons will work and even when twisting the screen back into phone position the camera is still active - which it shouldnt be.

The only way to rectify the problem is to close the phone which then turns the handset off and it wont turn back on unless the battery is removed.

Also the texting speed is slowing down - it was responsive, but now i have to wait for words to catch up with me and as some one else said in order to write a word not in the dictionary, you have to flip between T9 and ABC mode. Very frustrating.

On a few occasions the phone has crashed also. Not good.

I know i said people are whinging and i am now doing the same - which is slightly contradictive but i did say i was going to let you all no how i got on with the phone as i got to use it more.

I am taking mine back for a replacement leter this week. Mark.

also, like what the other person have said. the very sad thing bout this phone is u cant add words to the dictionary memory. u hafta alternate btwn T9 n abc usage if u wanna type things like u, hafta, needa etc.

Got this phone today in the 'onyx black' colour and i must say i'm really impressed.
Because no one has bothered writing a decent review of it only whingin about it, i will list the good and bad points from what i have found.

                                        Good Points.
+ Looks great, the phone has a glossy finish and looks expensive and unlike any other phone at the moment.
+ Camera is great - pictures look great on screen and the twisty screen compliments the camera perfectly. Siemens have really done well implementing this feature.
+ Screen quality is very good, looks much brighter than a samsung i have to say - and believe me i no phones.
+ Keypad is really good - looks simplistic, easy to use and very comfortable to work with. Also the backlight is decent enough.
+ Good ammount of memory - enough for all your high quality pictures, screensavers, ring tones etc.
+ The phone comes with a data cable, which is a great thing these days as phones hardly ever come with one. But it is a little pointless as the phone has no MP3 player to transfer songs etc. - But you should know that already if your interested in buying the phone, right?
+ The phone has infa-red which makes up for the lack of bluetooth. It is annoying me how i keep reading people moanin about the phone not having bluetooth - well whats the problem when the infa-red is a suitable replacement? So what if your cant sit so many metres away from the person with another phone. I have succesfully transfered and recieved images from my sisters Samsung D500 and my brand new Siemens!
                                        - Messaging is simple but may take a while to get used to (all you nokia lovers!), once mastered however it becomes simple enough and speedy response.
                                        - Phone is very quick at scrolling through pictures, images, navigation around
                                        Bad Points.
                                        - OK so the phone has no bluetooth, MP3 Player etc. So stop moaning and get a phone that has one.
                                        - Yes the phone has no external screen which is a problem to some but once again if it will bother you - then look for a different phone.
                                        - The wallpapers pre-installed on the handset are a bit of a letdown. They compliment the phone well but there's no sunset or flower bed images which show the phones screen off. However - this is a small bad point as the data cable rectifys the problem allowing you to trasnfer any image you want to the hadnset! Problem solved.
                                        - The black version of the phone (i have this version) picks up finger prints too easily making the phone lose its sheek finish. Whether this is the same in the white version i dont know. A quick wipe over though and there you go.
                                        - The phone has no video function - but all video on phones is rubbish and anyone who says otherwise is lying. (Apart from the o2X3 lol.)

Thats all i can think of really from what i have seen so far. Because i've only had the phone a day i cant really say whether the phone is good or bad as a definite. However, from what i have seen i am pleased i picked this phone over the Nokia 6170 which i was contemplating. I am unsure about things such as WAP etc but once i am in the know i will let you no. Hope this helped! Thanks.
