The Optus version (it's not locked to any network, despite what the sales people will tell you) is the SK6R Prosumer version; it comes with BlackBerry built in. You can't uninstall this application, so the quoted 32MB user storage is set at 8MB and you can't change it. Despite that, this is a great phone :)

Overall it is a good phone. The only problem is that it only shows 8 MB of space and I have read that it has 30 MB. Can someone explain why my phone is only showing 8MB of space. BTW it is possible to convert mp3 songs to AMR format which is playable on this phone.

      This phone is great !
Reception is excellent. you can adjust font size to ultra large, good for long sighted people like me.
Value for money, but not very user friendly. Takes a while to get use to.

Just bought this phone, I know its nearly 2 years old !! but it really is a fantastic phone. It looks more class (bling bling) than any other phone apart from Vertu at a fraction of the cost.

          Good phone Siemens

The processor and receiving the files through Bluetooth is slow comparing to any phone. Any ideas

Bought new, the box comes with a USB data cable, but the phone also has bluetooth so you can transfer data that way.

Got the new unlock GSM phone plus SIM card in Singapore for USD80 with a 2 years contract at USD17/month. It's really fantastics phone. Need to fine tune on the screen saver to save battery. Blueberry is too expensive in ASIA. Used email for the phone. Pay as you download.
Could not active the Chinese function?. Anyone could help?

Make sure to turn the screen saver picture off (use Energy Saving option instead); set the screen brightness to 10% also helps.

Many new mobiles suffer shortened battery capacity due to the high demands of their multimedia capabilities, not just this phone (one of the criticisms). Two to three days standy time seems about the norm.

go to SETUP, then select KEYBOARD, select KEYS LIGHTING, select OPEN KEYBOARD.

You can select your fave function to be activated after Select KEYBOARD, say choose Compose MSG or New SMS.

I found I really like the Sync with MS Outlook, you can type message and view them through the mobile phone manager utility, stored messages in the memory and the like, plus saving all you contacts to outlook as back up is invaluable, especially if you are like and have over 200 business contacts.

Yes, you can still get those case/holsters (mentioned below, and in the list I posted below), but only from European online stores - you won't get them in Australia anywhere.
