Snapdragon 8s Elite won't be called that, launch timeline leaks, specs get reaffirmed
Qualcomm went from Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to Snapdragon 8 Elite last year, and so, for a long time we've assumed that the successor to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 would be the Snapdragon 8s Elite. However, according to a new rumor out of China, this won't be the case.
There will in fact be just one Elite - at least until the 8 Elite's successor appears in October or thereabouts. Better put - there will only be one Elite line, the truly flagship one. An upper-midrange chip like the next 8s isn't worthy of the Elite designation in Qualcomm's view, if this rumor pans out, of course.
So, instead, it will be called Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It's allegedly going to become official in early April, with the first phones using it then being unveiled in mid-April.
The chip is said to be made on TSMC's 4nm process, and its CPU will be all-big-core just like MediaTek's recently launched Dimensity 8400. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will have one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.21 GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 3.01 GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz, and two Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.02 GHz.
There's also the Adreno 825 GPU, same generation as the Adreno 830 in the Snapdragon 8 Elite but with less performance of course. SLC cache is 6 MB, L3 cache is 8 MB, and the AnTuTu score is apparently over 2 million.

Yes there will be a Base F7 and there are couple of articles here on GSMA about it. It will apprently be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and the first 8s Gen 4 device. The only question is when.
