The W995 for example is only $10 - $20 dollar less than the N86 but functionality and specs wise, W995 is way below N86, its not even a smartphone. You gets my point? Yes it will be expensive initially for what it does. Wait for a few months after release so you can buy it for less.

vital features are missing but still it is top of the line with high ratings .....

You can't use it for regular use like viewing SMS, Contacts, and etc.. In order to do that, you have to slide the phone up and use the keys. Sounds really stupid huh?

This phone is really awesome. The design is really good. And that new Media thingy has awesome interface and looks really sleek. Touchscreen is also nice. But limited touchscreen capabilities is really really really stupid of SE. I don't think this phone will be successful especially if it comes with a high price. They should have just at least used a qwerty keyboard instead because when the phone is slid-out it looks really stupid. Come on SE! This could have been a really awesome phone!

This proves that Sony Ericsson is not making Cyber-Shot™ and Walkman™ phones anymore. All their new phone releases doesn't start with "W" or "C" anymore. It looks like the w995 is the last Walkman™ phone and the c905 is the last Cyber-Shot™ phone of SE. I think this is really good now that they can make phones not just for music and not just for camera, but for everything.

susan, 28 Jul 2009i like this phone very much.. steady design and camera.. so... moreThe touchscreen functions work only on media player menu and camera menu\settings, i.e to set the focus of your photos you're going to take, you just touch the object that shown on the preview. Same thing to do with the advanced settings.
Instead those two functions, you have to use the slide keypad to working with the phone.

Design is cool but why limited touch screen?
When we slide it out looks like TV remote.This is a real shit aino phone had touch screen,gps,3g,wifi,8mpix cam but no secondary cam really shame of u sony ericsson.

I like this phone very much, but i don't think i will buy it, because in my country all phones are really expensive comparing with other countries. For example, the iPhone 3GS is more than 1100 euro.

I am looking for a model that has touch screen and at the same time has a keypod long time ago. maybe you wonder why need to have both ? simple, if i dont want my touchscreen will get blurd soon? i have keypod ! ryt? now i found "AINO" im so happy until i found out that no secondary camera owwwws its damn bullshit design !!! CRAZY !!!
