LeChat, 22 Feb 2011Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing this phone for sake of the b... moreDude its a cool device for a PocketPC, the RAM is 256MB, after power ON 185MB is available. And you call 600 MHz processor pitiable ? tell me atleast one Win Mo 6 device having a faster processor and better RAM than this one, you wont find one. One thing to compromise is the screen size. OK there are occasional lags like once in a fortnight or a month, but that is inherent to Android and Symbian also, Above all this one has got a seamless MS Office 2010 support which is still a dream for Droids and Symbians, and cut/copy/paste feature is still a future update for Win 7.

LeChat, 22 Feb 2011Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing this phone for sake of the b... moreThis indeed is quite a good phone. it has accessible ram of around 185MB. after turning on the device, the free ram is around less than 30. but after it idle for quite a while it is possible to get free ram of slightly over 30MB for my set.

Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing this phone for sake of the beautiful QWERTY. Can anyone please tell me, how many MB RAM is left right after power on?
I've been using WM6 for years, and several programs are vital to me, e.g. Lingvo & SlovoEd dictionaries, Inesoft, SPB time, etc., but I'm really worried that those applications cannot run smoothly on Aspen (with pitiable 600MB CPU and 100MB RAM)
Please share your opinions. Thank you!!

Methusiah, 20 Feb 2011umm can i ask how long does your full charged battery life ... moreif i used it a lot, it last about 2 days. if i keep it idle with few calls and sms, 3 days. erm, i read somewhere since it is an li-po battery, do not drain before charge unlike ni-mh. also, restarting seems to drain around 2% of battery for my set.

Why is it that sometimes when u receive call it will either be 'slide' or 'touch' the screen for the incoming call? Pls explain. Tnx.

Toto, 17 Feb 2011We have experience problems w/ this mobile phone. How can I... moreDon't get me wrong, Aspen is a fantastic phone. At this pricing of Nokia E5, it has many features only available in upmarket phone such as touch screen and GPS. However to make way for that, it looses a good camera, front camera, built quality in casing and proximity sensor. IF one can go without the handy touch screen, they can go for Nokia E5 for it's 5MP snapper or Omnia B7320 for it's front camera. But touch screen would always be a good thing here. It really is a pity they would not spend a bit more for a rugged casing... plastic is fine but it must be rugged and fit tightly. Not to say it no longer supported for Playnow.
Btw, SE does have support website. Feel free to email your problem if u have any enquiry. I did that and it's pretty helpful. For Windows 6.5 issue, you can go to Microsoft's forum or xda developer for solutions.

guys i've been using this phone for a couple of months and i send text messages at an average of 180 messages a day and recieves an average of also 180 messages a day. The question is my battery wrong or what that i need to charge my phone everynight?? i dont know why this 1500mAh battery lose to the 1200mAh of the vivaz pro which my friend owns, the fact that she her average messages sent and recieved per day is about 300 and the battery last for 1 and half days..
p.s. no internet, no nothing just plain message sending..

Be careful while read the Sony Ericsson Aspen user opinions. I saw a few opinions which made by liar(s) who want to 'smack down' the popularity of this great Smartphone.

They really should build 1 with release button so the hinges would not deform easily because hinges like that does deform rather easily as it snap a lot. And no this is no nonsense. mine is quite loose.

Whenever I login into Windows live, a music starts playnig, and it plays even after logging out of windows live, the only way to get rid of the music is to restart the phone, is there any other way ? please help me . . . Thanx

Alex, 12 Feb 2011hey dude, the lack of messaging button is made up by the sc... moreWell, finally thats what i did.. but still love the good'ol physical button.. and yeah the touchscreen is quite responsive.. camera is one of the worst i have seen ... when i take pictures the noise is so high that the pic looks like take in heaven..
