I bought the Sony Ericsson Aspen in mid 5 August 2010 and after 15 days all of a sudden while phone turned off by itself and i couldnt charge it as well. I took it to the service center and they had to replace the PHONE and after 5 Month creat same prblame again i m going to back again to the service center & this time replace the mother board & changed IMEI numberdue to this.So be carefull........

I love Sony Ericsson. I guess i have to change my opinion though. I bought the Aspen in mid August and after three months all of a sudden while browsing the phone turned off by itself and i couldnt charge it as well. I took it to the service center and they had to replace the mother board and the battery and guess what even the IMEI number changed due to this. Now thats not all, though i got all this done the phone turms off by itself while talking and i m going to take it back again to the service center in a day or two. Though i wrote to SE they had no response.... WOW .. So people CAUTION ....

rainman, 24 Jan 2011You can make UI handling very simply but maybe procedure it... moreI have purchased a lot of SE phones as I love the SE brand however i wasnt convinced with Aspen. The phone hangs often and guess what after using it for two and a half to three months it stopped charging and when i gave to the service center they informed that the mother board along with the battery is gone. Though they replaced it i still have the phone being turned off often without any reason. I am planning to take it to the service center again. I also wrote to SE about the same and I heard nothing from them .. WOW.. even another friend of mine faced the same issue..

Rudra, 24 Jan 2011handset is good but settings and fetchers vary complicated. You can make UI handling very simply but maybe procedure itself is complicated. Aspen`s panels is a excellent for customization. Camera is poor for 3,15 MPix (SE W715 3,15 MPix snapper is better), but usable in daylight. Audio quality (used by Hi-Fi earphones or receiver) is good (not excellent) - radio too. Using Office, taping text, multitasking, copy-paste and file system is very good for phone (don´t forget kill the tasks). Internet connectivity is good. Agenda and OneNote applications is very good for me (other too). If Aspen casing is be made from stainless steel (like NOKIA E71) and haves better camera (sometimes camera needed for photographing documents and other text`s) - its maybe best business phone in that range.

paresh, 22 Jan 2011hi, i would like to know wether Aspen is better or Viavz pr... moreAspen buddy, X10 mini pro has got 930 mAh battery and got to handle 2.5" touch screen, Vivaz pro got 1200 mAh battery and got to handle 3.2" touchscreen, Aspen got 1500 mAh battery got just 2.4" touchscreen, with fully functional keypad meaning we rarely need the touch screen. I had the same confusion as you have, I went to the SE service person he advised me to go for the Aspen, I m a heavy texter and internet user mostly on gprs.

One thing good about this QWERTY phone is the placement of the keypad. Perticularly the last row where the space-bar resides. It's raised a little high so that you do not have to move your thumb way down to hit the space-bar or other keys on the bottom row for that matter. On the other hand, may be that was part of the reason why it has a comparatively smaller screen.

hey i have transferred songs on to this handset but it there is a way i can play this songs through a media player as everything is getting stored in the file explorer.
