[deleted post]It depends on your needs. Aspen is a business set with all your needs for business. Mini is good if you need it for music and photos. The size of Mini is fantastic . I tried both but choose Aspen because I need Microsoft office application. If Mini had it I would have chosen it . Mini Pro is a unique set.

I bought a Sonny Ericsson Aspen last September. before it even reached 2 months, the power won't turn on after I charged it. So, I returned it from where I bought it since it is covered with a 1 year warranty. I got it back after more than a month. When I checked it, the keypad symbols got mixed up already. I went back to where I bought it and asked why there is a mix up. They said I could return it back but I had to hold back beacause the first time took a very long time and Christmas was just around the corner. Now, the battery drains easily even if I am not using the phone which is very frustrating. I wish Sony Ericsson can change the one I bought to a new unit since what I'm experiencing now is too frustrating and very inconvenient for me.

Good about Aspen :Great speed and stylish and professional look .. between BB and Nokia E72...loud Sound.. Vedio playback and recording is fine.
Patience to accept: Touch screen feel is ok when in WIN 6.5 .
Not acceptable : During daylight cannot see Incoming caller id or UI due to mirror finish on screen..
you have to run to dark place to look for number ..
Guys.. do you have any alternate to get rid of Daytime callerid problem..??

dear SONY ERICSSON
please create QWERTY phones comes with SE's proprietary OS in many price range.
i.e. copy of naite / cedar inside but wears a qwerty suit outside, as well as 'copy' of elm, zylo and other "traditional" SE variants.
i bet many people are waiting for them too. and the Qwerties will be potentially to beat all other today's phones.

It may have some virus.

orpotto, 10 Jan 2011once get discharged fully,it wont on..just dnt get switched... moreRemove charger out, battery out, memory card out, SIM card out. Then only battery in and include charger (don´t switch the phone in). If phone leave blinking keypad and screen - after a while 30 min switch phone in. If phone run - good, if not - bad. If run - switch phone out and then remove charger out. Then battery out, SIM card in, battery in, charger in and switch phone in. If run - good, if not - bad. If run - switch phone out and then remove charger out and add memory card. Then switch the phone in. Maybe this help.

it looks a quality phone..
weight should have been reduced
battery is very good...
camera clarity is not nice even like 2mp cam in SE released before, while at zoom
wifi gps is fine...
touch screen is ok but not good..
headset is good to here but can't hear for long time as the base effect is low and some steep sound is anoying..but may be we can equalize it but hav'nt tested...
its a win mobile .. working better ..
display is not that much bigger ...
as like other phones we have to handle it carefully..
..its ur choice to choose my dear friends..

But can i use the default windows mobile 6.... moreDefault windows mobile 6.5.3 interface is available if you press small Windows icon in down/left part of screen in bar like in other windows phones. You can it switch continually if you need. But operating with shells is more-more comfortable. Menu design is like WinXP and switching sundry colours is available. You don`t need delete the spb mobile shell altogether, because you can make panels very simply or extremely complicated for your own needs. GSM Arena saying while as task switching is poor, but its not true. If you create on spb shell panel screen task manager icon - it makes multitasking and task switching simply and fast.

Alex, 09 Jan 2011Rajesh, how did the production camera and audio fare? coz t... moreCamera, as I stated in my earlier posts is below average. Thats the only one dissapointment with Aspen. Atleast Sony Ericsson could have given the camera like the old P1i. But Audio quality through speaker as well as through headphones is decent. Quiet nice considering it being a business mobile. Regarding Garmin, I did not try it. If anybody using Aspen have tried it, kindly post your review for us all please. Regarding Panels, I dont dare to try to remove them as I love them the way they are. However if you dont like them try uninstalling them by choosing setings>Remove Programs and choose SPB Mobile Shell and remove them. However please do it as your own risk as I dont know if after you remove these Power Shells original Windows format will be effective. I suggest to keep SPB mobile shell as it really makes Aspen very special and convenient to use. However you are your own judge. Good Luck.
