I bought this mob. few days back and I cant tell what a big mistake I did by buying this mob. The camera is too bad, that even a 2mp camera is much better than this.......just wasted my money....and sound quality is also not too gud...Think 1000 times before buying this mob. as the day pics are also not too good as they should. This mob. in short is a waste of money as a whole............

Lastly, decide the quality of your pics when you see it on the the computer screen. The pics look great on the phone's display but may not be when you see it in its full resolution.

sh, 03 Aug 2009I want to buy the ph but as I read this comment I got confu... moreIt's your choice. This phone's got a good design, big screen and nice user interface. Some people found this phone good enough for them, others (like me) think things could have been better.
Here's to note. This phone take good photos when there's enough light. Underline enough. I said that because when you take photos with dim/poor lighting conditions, the photos are bad. At night, it gets from bad to worst. No need to mention the flash. It's useless. Honestly, cybershot branding is more like a marketing gimmick for me. To cheer you up, it's got face detection and smile shutter which works really great (when there's enough light).
It's got a nice music player. Unluckily for me, my phone keeps pausing a second or two when i use the music player.
It's has a nice interface. Very fast. But unluckily for me, when i inserted my 4gb card the phone lags considerably. Very annoying. Maybe the phone won't lag if you use a 1gb or 2gb card only.
And lastly it's got a very nice video player. I was surprised actually. No skipped frames playing a 23 fps mp4 videos.
And the battery. If you're used to cellphones that lasts 3-4 days without charging, better start getting used to charging your phone everyday, or every 2 days if you're lucky.
Reading the posts here will just make you more confused.
Here's the thing: If you're not too demanding, not too fussy about the camera performance, just want a nice phone to text, make/receive calls, i'd say go ahead and buy this phone.

I'm using this phone as a modem. The connection is fast. The only problem is, i kept on losing connection. The webpage just suddenly stopped loading after a few minutes of browsing and goes back on and off again. And on a network where they charge you 5 bucks per 15 minutes, it's a nightmare. I kept on calling the network customer service complaining about it but then i realized it's not the network, it's the phone. Any one of you have the same problem?

it is a gr8 phone
the best ever phone i have used
it is far far better than the nokia phones
the only problem is that i dont know how to switch it on

Really crap mobile may be sony fixed ordinary cam in this phone and they said that it is a HIGH QUALITY
Cyber-Shot mobile.
Now a days cyber shot are real dump c905, c510.
SE want to move the cyber shot to their K series.

Don't wait for your subject to smile, it'll take forever to shoot. Just keeps on pressing the confirmation key (not the camera key). The pics gets a little brighter but still poor quality, even unusable.
I think this is a software bug. Hope SE don't remove this. I don't understand why using the flash, all you get are dark photos with the subject nowhere in sight.

So i just modded the acoustics. Now it works fine except at times the sounds gets muffled, and the phone still gets hot.

I bought this phone a month back and i am quiet happy with this phone. The Geo-tagging feature is cool and works quite well. Sony has also provided the Walk Mate software via an update and works well too. Not too mention the Camera Quality is Superb.
Sound quality is normal. Could have improved on this feature.

can i lock my c510 like when i unlock the keypad it asks for a password or can i atleast lock applcations like msgs ??

I have this phone for a month and please believe me it's a total crap making it a CyberShot Ericsson. How disappointing for the SE really. The pictures are super annoying especially night shots! Ugh it is as if it isn't a 3.2 mp phone.

This fone is good,,,,, sound is good,,, fast UI and easy to use..... camera is ok if you have steady hands in shooting....... all in all a complete phone and a good price but without WIFI
