But the paint might last long,except if you drop it hard on a solid concrete floor or throw the phone at a brick wall. But build quality is superb (I only hated the C510 was the battery cover,because it kinda felt short,but it looks nice and sturdy)

For those who got the black c510, no peeling paints yet? I got a black g502 and had the silver chrome keys protected but not the silver part of the back cover. The paintwork just started to wear out. It's the part that always comes in contact with the table (or any surface). If i wouldn't do anything about, it will certainly look ugly and used, sooner. Same as with my k510. The body was painted metal gray and a few drops and bumps reveals the black plastic underneath. They could have just made it entirely in gray material. Not paint it. It looked totally used (though working good) i decided to buy g502. I will only buy the black c510 if there's no paint issues.

Great phone except for one thing! the twilight landscape or night mode doesn't work! If you take picture at night. Gosh! VERY DISAPPOINTING! Your skin tone gets yellowish! Its DOUBLE LED FLASH had nothing to do, POOR lighting background!
otherwise.. the other features are good.
Sound are clearly LOUD! That u cant find to other camera fone!
Fast reader even a hundred of photo in ur galery.....

It often drops out quickly then back up again. I have a sim free one no branding but signal still poor. I think the antenna is in the bottom of the phone cos when i put my hand there carrying it the signal drops. Nokia Smartphones are best for picking up decent signal. I am with Vodafone and my coverage is fine its just this phone. Thinking of getting rid.

. I did have a K850i but it kept switching itself off or screen would freeze (touchscreen), so after four replacements of htat model, reverted back to my old Nokia N73, which I've kept as a spare luckily - I've never had a days problem with this phone!! I had the c510 as an upgrade and for the two weeks I've had it, had no signal whatsoever adn If I manage to get one, it doesnt last for long, also the battery life is very poor for a brand new phone so I sent it back to Orange - dont know hwat phone to get? any suggestions?

I have a Future Black one of these. I look after my phones never scratch them or anything but the lettering on the camera lens cover is starting to wear off.

I really like the SE C510 because its cost-effective and its affordable. Also i've had this phone for a week now and im still satisfied with it because its attractive and it has an awesome Camera that comes with it! So in conclusion, I think that this handset is brilliant to use!

Cyber-shot under dog, 26 May 2009Well for me it looked a little more like the C510 than the ... moreyeah hated the cover,but I am really looking for a phone with superior image quality than looks.My n76 also looked nice but sucked big time (especially in camera features and the chipping of the paint that's why I sold my n76 for the K800i).
So I learned my lesson of choosing performance rather than looks,I loved the n76 as it was a smart phone and it had a bigger screen and the standard audio jack but there is nothing perfect in this world. (k800i sucked at the video department so I bought the 3120 classic which records VGA format)

even at nite the 'burned' ef... moreAs for now I have no budget,I am waiting for the C901 so no new phones for the moment,or a new cyber-shot phone would release (I hope there would be like C520 having a C510 with a Xenon Flash AHAHAHA).....
,what I meant with landscape portrait was for the background to be brightened up AHAHA!! Not a remedy for burned up photos,sorry for the misunderstanding.

Specs and looks wise, I really like this phone but I'm kinda worried that the paint will peel off after 3 months of use. We had the same problem with almost all sony erricson that me and my friends had.

The flash does not function when you increase brightness. Night shots of person's skin tone tend to be yellowish (with greenish background). I just hope that the next firmware will concentrate solely on night shots and fix all of these.
