Does SE phones' price even depreciate??? their phones are too expensive here in the Philippines. No wonder, more people prefer Nokia. So disappointing...

The K850's problem was because of the software.By upgrading the software it will help reduce the problem.

Cyber-Shot under dog, 11 May 2009I agree with you that those bunch of extras is a deal break... moreoh!
                        i own c510.
but now thinkin bout changing to k850.
                        c510 -> k850 is good o not?
since i heard k850 have serious hardware prob.
                        BSOD, WSOD, restart many time.
but k850 can produce a high quality img.
n82, 6220, my friends own it.

Cyber-Shot under dog, 11 May 2009I agree with you that those bunch of extras is a deal break... moreYeah,I think the putting a Xenon Flash could make the c510 a potential upgrade for k800i or k810i owners to have a bunch of extras and not putting to many cash alongside.

Here is a quick review of the c510 Cyber-shot http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/Sony-Ericsson-C510-Review-review-r_2156.html
In daylight it proved almost similar with the k800i but at indoors it sucks big time!!!!!

Arturiasaber, 11 May 2009I agree that the flash on this phone is not that great, yet... moreI agree with you that those bunch of extras is a deal breaker like the smile detection and stuff.Unlike the k810i without having those fun extras,But even now the walkman lineups are now having those extras like face detection. But it's more like a software tweak, rather than a hardware, and about the video capabilities I accept that the k800/k810i sucked at those given with lower resolution and framerate, now the walkman's are also now equiped with almost the same capabilities with the now cyber-shot videos (QVGA@ 30 fps). But what we need now is to differentiate like the Walkman's having like the Sensme function ,the Shaker function paired up with capable or better headphones, just as Cyber-shot branding would have the great Cyber-shot 2.0 interface and combined with a Xenon flash. The k800i/K810i had a lower software capabilities like the new media center, nor those extras like the Face detection,or smile shutter, and giving them the lower edge of videos. But the c510 Should be like the next k810i/K800i(You know a 3.2 megapixel sensor with up to date UI and an upgrade for the video department put in with the bunch of extras like the face detection)The higher megapixel phones like those k850i or c905 aren't always needed by every person. For megapixel count doesn't really make the picture quality go up.It's how they are equipped with. And a Cyber-Shot bloodline should always focused on great picture quality that can replace your Low-end point and shoot Digital Camera.

I have gone through a lot of reviews on this phone..
1.The phone has a average camera..if u want a good camera.go for K810i..which has xeon flash, image stabilizers (features that you can use) and is almost or cheaper than c510.
2.The C510 has looks and is good all rounder.(but doesnt live up to its cyber shot name)
                                    3. Good display , good interface , and good battery life .
So if your are on a tight budget go for it...it will not let u down

The design is good..the sound quality is better than w910i..coz i used w910i only one week and then i trade in with c510a..the spec also nice compare to w910i..so i think this phone is value for your money..

I agree that the flash on this phone is not that great, yet, as a Cybershot, it's quite nice. Cybershot is for the interface anyways. So far, for the Flash, I got great results ranging from half a full meter away from object. I would post samples if it were allowed though. Anyway, for Php. 9,000+, it's really quite something.

The detail on pictures is superb, compared to other 3.15 camera phones. And with a 2.2" screen and long Battery life, it's really a cheap phone.

Also, I agree that Xenon flash wouldn't make much a a great difference with pricing, but it would have a huge drain on the battery and C510 can capture QVGA@30fps unlike K810 capturing only QCIF. Remember, C510 has HSDPA vs K810 3G... Also not to mention you can only have 2GB max on a K810 vs 8GB on C510. C510 is thinner, lighter, and sports Accelerometer, Face, smile detection, geo-tagging. All of which K810 doesn't have in the first place yet C510 is still cheaper (here in our country).

Anyway, give C510 a break, all in all, I give it 2 and a half thumbs up. This will really be very competitive in the market, especially since it has all of the features I mentioned at a ridiculously low price.
