Its camera, if used properly, is exceptional. The flash, though, could have been done away with. It serves little purpose other than earning the phone a bad press. The twilight landscape mode is pretty useful. Beyond twilight one should be prepared to use a dedicated camera.

Being a teen, I feel that this phone has indeed surpassed all the other non-smart phones (which most of my other friends use) that were ever made by sony erricson. Its camera is rather good except that it may not work as well at night. However, to have so many features such as smile shutter, face detection and other various modes in a non-smart phone like the C510 I believe it is indeed good enough. Furthermore, the shots in the day are indeed crisp and crystal clear. Apart from the camera this phone has the ability to multi-task very very well and this I think gives it an edge over the other non-smart phones which tend to hang or lag out when you try to multi task. The media is indeed impressive where you can watch videos with no freezes and also in slow motion, which is indeed already a challenge to a non-smart phone with not much RAM in the first place. On top of this, the phone is pretty slim and durable and thanks to the camera protective cover, no impact is experienced by the camera ever if the phone is dropped. However, the first time I bought this phone I did notice a few lags here and there and realised that it was just due to the firmware being outdated. After updating the firmware, the phone was all good again where everything could run smoothly. Regarding phone signal and call quality, I would rate it as one of the best as even the smart phones such as the iPhone have many problems with the signal strength and 3G internet strength. On top of ALL THIS, the phone is exceptionally cheap and is INDEED the value for money phone. In these various ways, the C510 has proved to be indeed a milestone for the best non-smart phone ever made. I would rate it a 9/10 considering the faults with the camera (low quality photos at night). However, for a non-smart phone to handle SO MANY features smoothly, it is indeed an awesome phone.

i love this model...bcoz nice design gud fn.,smile shutter..itz realy intrestin..and also simple gud functioning..i love sony ericsson c510

ftw?....you all say it is a shameful cybershot....it is a 100 euro phone, what do you want for that money?....xenon flash?...for xenon flash you would need a capacitor for storage for the flash....there is no room inside the phone for something like that....that is why K790/K800,K850, C905 are bulky or have the hump because of the capacitor for the flash. stop talking smack about a phone wich was said from the beginning that it is the most affordable cybershot, want flash buy the ones mentioned above.
i used mine and accepted that it is rubbish in the night, so for night shots or for more detailed photos i use a camera.

but in pondicherry, its not available , becoz, the production of this phone is stopped, since its a old phone.

it's really shame to say it cyber-shot.
i used it at night and i really get shocked the videos and phtos by this cyber-shot.these photos and videos are really very much bad.

Poor Lighting in low light area and nights. And we never get clear photo, of moving object, like Sony Ericsson K 790i. -Uday kumar

What an amazing phone is the sony ericsson C510. First of all it's design is great.because it is very very thin phone but it have all the good and best features.It is so simple and easy To learn how it would be using.i love this phone very much I don't miss that phone ever in my life

I used a K550i and W595 before one month ago i brought a C510. Its the best Sony Erricsson Ive used so far. Its got many features. Lives up to requirements. Really Awesome phone!!.... BUY IT.. I LOVE IT
