So many phones are overpriced when they first come out and I'm sure this one is no exception! Give it a few months and when it goes down in price it will be worth it. Also, many phones are so expensive (over here in Aussie anyway) because networks want to encourage customers to go on a plan where they get a free or discounted handset.

his phone has just got out and already problems with it!!!!!
(I told you so! :(
But, even I astonished although I though SE could never surprise me (again).
I just can not comprehend SE pricing policy.
C902 for 600 USD!!!! ???
That is got to be a joke!
The G900 just came out for 550 USD. Current price is around 450 USD. Price dropped suddenly and keep coming down.
The unit has some problems and it does not live up to the expectations - like most recently released models.
The fact that the C902 is about 30% more expensive than the G900 is just do not make sence!!!!
The G900 has:
- a 2.4˝ screen (~45% larger than c902!!!!)
- touchscreen
- more advanced software
- Wifi
SEs greediness the only explanation for me - SE tries to take advantage of uninformed customers until they can.
Probably, the price will drop significantly.
I would not be surpriced if in 6 weeks the price will be around 350 USD.
The phone got nothing special to offer - the screen is too small for anything but to make phone call. The camera is lousy.
Today´s market a slim phone without special features worth about 200-300 USD.

i was planning on getting this phone until i read the news today about the C905. now i'm gonna get that instead pnly a few months away . oh i just can't wait but the only bad thing is , is that its kinda big but for the 8.1 mp n the other stuff i guess its all worth it even tho i think c905 n g900 would b a better size

Optical zoom and digital zoom aren't the same thing. Digital zoom is usually just some form of interpolation and not an actual change in focal length.

It does have 16x times optical zoom, I work for a phone company and we have recieved an info sheet on it FROM SE stating it does.

Let me give you a hand. I was also in between the G900 and C902 and I decided to go for the C902 for the below reasons:
1) although the camera lens is the same the PhotoFlash is 3x more powerful than a normal LED, and the photolight is really weak in the dark. Plus C902 has all the nice camera features you need (I tried the touch sensitive buttons on C902 and they are extremely responsive and quick)
2) I find the C902 more stylish especially with its unique pop out lens.
3) HSDPA (C902) vs. WiFi (G900)...again it depends what you need.
4) last but not least the C902 is quad band vs tri band for G900. BecIf you travel a lot (like me) you will certainly appreciate a quad band.
Finally, I think you need to go for what is more appealing to you. If the camera is important then yes you should definitely go the C902. I think the G900 is great too but from a design perspective it is too simple. Hope that helps!

I am thinking of buying this phone and I have a couple questions:
1.) Does C902 flash work like a "normal" camera? In that it flashes right before you take a picture and turns off. Right now, if i want flash on my w810, I have to turn on the BLINDING light and take picture. Then I am blinded for like 2min
2.) How is PhotoFlash (C902) different from PhotoLight (G900)? Does w810 have PhotoLight as well?
2.) Is C902 camera THAT much better G900 camera? or is it it pretty negligible.. I want a good camera, but if they are the same I would rather get G900 for touchscreen, wifi, and uiq.

Even, lol_maker can see - there is no point to have an 8mp camera!
Se has to learn first to make a 3mp camera:
see W890: no flash no autofocus
SE 5 mp camera:
see C902, G900
- lousy pictures
Do you really expect decent 8mp pictures from C905 ??? Wake up!
Se can not make any decent!
SE flagship phone - Xperia - is manufactured by HTC!!!! Guess why?
Because SE has all kind of quality probleems recently!!!!
Even HTC is better than SE, although they are not famous about their quality production.

Jokes aside I think the C902 is the perfect compromise between style, and great features. You can't expect too much from a phone that is just 10.5mm thick and quite unique. Your pockets will love it that is for sure.
Mstl: I agree with you (for once). The C905 is a brick size phone, which is a downside. Plus having more than 5M pixel camera is just useless unless you plan to cover your bedroom door with one picture. Again, that proves the point that the higher the technology in a phone the bigger it gets...simple maths!

I agree - G900 has no place on this market.
poor quality, limited features, too expensive!
The fact that it has an outdated processor just puts it totally out of consideration.
As far as the C905 -
Remember. SE has hard time to release new phones - keep delaying them.
Quality control always an issue.
Other companies have probably similar products in the pipeline.
And finally, message to the fanatics:
if this (C905) not a brick (19mm) I wonder what is?
(keep bashing other phones about thickness)
