Im not going to make a big issue with feature that i will not going to use frequently anyways. If you can't live with that, then you're the one with the problem.

nokia software/ user-interference sucks!! it's ugly and not stable.
SE's is easy, orginised,stable... similar to macs= SE=hi quality
windows=nokia=low quality

and to the post earlier saying that nokia needs the smartphones to compete with s.e.s feature phone,
how on earth would nokia feel the need to do that when they were the first to release a do it all phone?
remember the 7650?it is a smartphone, released even sony ericsson became sony ericsson
what did S.E. release back in the day to compete?
a t610 which only had a CIF camera compared to 7650's VGA and 3 mb of memory compared to the t610's measle less than 1mb?
point is...nokia was the first and they released smartphones even before sony ericsson started realisng phones...if any company would feel the need to compete, it would be sony as they were just starting at that time...

ehat makes the n82 look like a toy to the x1 or the g900?
because it isnt touchscreen?
heck n82 with its dual core cpus and 128mb ram and 256mb rom and a video card destroys even the xperia and g900
how about the camera? n82 kicks its ass period
well of course this would destroy the series 40 phones wich are out right now compared to this which isnt even out yet... but it would be fair to compare the 6500 slide to the k810 for example in which each has their own advantages

well i doubt about it. You forgot the FACT that you are comparing a smartphone with just a normal feature phone. The fact is nokia's feature phone cannot stand up to Sony ericsson's one. Sony ericsson's feature phone is that far ahead to the extend that Nokia must comes up with smarphone solution to deal with sony ericsson feature phone.
If you want to have a fair comparison, compare those N82 with SE offerings like X1 or G900, to which will only makes nokia's offering sounds like kid's toy.
compare this phone with offering like 6600 fold or those music phones thingy, which phones i don't even bother paying attention to. The winner is obvious, Sony ericsson all the way.

Shayn, 25 Jun 2008ok let me make this simple for u dumb ones out there before... moreyou must be nuts to say that you experience 3D ringtone on your phone coz with the kind of power out put they have they can barely manage a sound stage let alone the 3D effect (hope you know what a sound stage is)so even with full blown home theaters you need to have an enclosed environment for the 3D to take effect ( hope you know what 3D sound is ) go and get your facts straight or visit B&O site the first to provide a 3d amp inside a phone i.e samsung beat 450 and that too works only with the earphones,hope this post has imparted some wisdom in you.

If the name of the game was music through loud speaker...apple should have incorporate it in iphone but they didn't. cause they knew sound quality through headsets is the real deal.

Is it clear and ... morethere's no way that N82's loud speaker can produce bass..not even "some bass". all you can hear is it's loudness and try to put it in max volume, it CRACKS. not even the music dedicated phones of nokia doesn't produce sound quality through speaker it's all gimmickry and fans buying it. you've had this notion of having two speakers means that it can produce stereo sound. the only purpose it has was to give a loud ringtone output for you not to miss a call.
Perfect example was N70 and N73, which later launched as music edition, in reality there's no difference whatsoever with the former. and nokia made you believe otherwise (does it make you feel cheated?)

Dude.. your phone rings loud enough and you don't miss your call that's the whole point right? I think SE phones already does the job fine. Nobody cares about the ringtone having 3D sound effect..
i tell you one more time, you might as well connect your phone to HOME THEATRE equipment and enjoy LOUD ringtones when somebody call you. You don't need to brag about the speakers---
WE have a better option: HEADPHONES--we make a call, we no longer use speaker phone, we use HEADPHONES to talk to ppl, which quality thousand times better than your pathetic stereo speakers.
Probably the only reason you keep on bragging about the speakers is because you know, NOKIA doesn't have any good headphones that stands up to SE offering, that's y you also talk about your sennheiser headphone. why you don't use your NOKIA headphone? coz you know it.. It SUX big time.

How about the sound quality of this phone? Is it clear and good enough to hear music without fuss? I am so particular with sound quality im terms of mobile phones. I have N82 I can here some bass from speaker. The basses are more pronounced with cool voice tonality. SE speakers no bass at all. N82 speakers is nice and clear compared to SE speaker.

I just really dont understand why people continually coming back to forums of phones they will never buy??? obviously your not satisfied with the phone.. so be it.. so why do you guys feel the need to keep returning?? i dont understand?? youve said your opinion now let it go..dont buy the phone..simple. one person may pefer vga the next will pefer a higher megapixel count..deal with it.. its no threat against you is it??
theres not much to it is there?..aparrent happy nokia fans stay in nokia forums..same applies for SE fans.. easy
