The Specs do not state what type of GPS chip used, is it Sirf Star III?
To bad they also don't say OS used either.

Hi i got this unit early of 2009 after two weeks the speaker no longer functioning and i need to make it into loud speaker for me to hear the voice on the other line and now Im suffering for the keys. But interm of pictures resolution i have nothing to say but the best.. maybe in hundreds of this unit i got the defective one...

A nice, well-packed phone. If you're into SE, get this one and browse Internet for modifications. You can find tuned camera drivers which improve photo quality and gives you more control over the image exposition, ISO setting etc. Wi-Fi works great, media player is easy to use, but a bit too slow. Just don't mind about gps function as it is an aGPS and it will suck up your money just for nothing. Use it carefuly. I had to flash original software, because the one provided with the phone (Orange network) was a rape to functionality and wasn't compatible with new themes.

i have had this phone for a about a month now..no major issues..the only thing which is bugging me is the keypad..sometimes it jus misses the 0 key and feels like the kaypad upper layer got stuck and then releases after a while..other then that the battery udpates false battery levels whcih was impossible for a sony ericsson coz i got this issue with nokia all the time..if anyone has any solution for these issues i will be higly obliged..

user, 23 Dec 2009my c905 battery lasts only for two days with frequent use o... moreWell Like All Other Phones If You Have Little Stuff Like Wifi On Then Of Course It Will Drain The Battery Quicker. Try Turning On Wifi Only When You Want To Use The Internet And Turn It Off When You Are Done.
And With The Camera It Has A Xenon Flash So That Will Use A Bit Of The Battery If You're Constantly Taking Pictures..Just Have The Flash Off When It's Not Necessary.
You Can Turn The Brightness Down A Bit To Where You're Comfortable But Still Not Have A Hard Time Seeing It.
Other Features Like Bluetooth May Drain Battery Too When It's On.
I'm Getting This Phone For My GF Today So I Hope She Likes It.

No sound at all after using for 5 months. Said it's common. better stay away from this phone until Sony Ericsson get solution for this.

my c905 battery lasts only for two days with frequent use of camera and wifi. is this normal? if it's not, can someone help me figure out a way to prolong its battery life?

i am also sa user of this fon...
the major problem of this is it's keypads..
my navigating pad is not working properly.
it's still functioning but the round metal beneath is not pushing the pad back making me feel nothing every time i push it.
i went to the sony service center here in the philippines,
but they gave me poor service so i decided to pull my fon out for they just wasted my time waiting for nothing and a no-changes fon i had...
please improve your service...
i even heard that a costumer waited for 3-6 months for it's flex to be repaired...

i have had this phone for 8months now, it has been sent away 3 times to get the speaker repaired on it, and the keypad fixed onces. now it is at the repair center getting fixed by sony erissson to replace the whole pcb main board. worste phone i have every used. battery life is bad, camera is great but video quality is fairly poor. just my history on this phone. good luck.

i own c905 for six months now, no problems at all, best phone i ever had. only complaint is that keys give bad feedback so i cant write sms without looking at the screen

im using this phone for about 8 months, the only problem that i've had is the phone freezes and i need to take out the battery. it only occurd about 3-4 times in 8 months. the rest works fine, great camera, great sound !!

i think some of u that have problems with the phone,
have check whether the phone is really original manufacture in japan or it just manufacture in factory in ur country?
of course it will influence the quality
so, i suggest that for the 'big' phone like this,
spend more money for the original made in japan one,
then u'll happy with it

Well i don't know about you guys either you play football with your phone or no but i have this phone c905 since one year now on and it works perfect no failures until today, tomorrow i don't know :)
