Great phone until things go wrong. This time the phone won't hold charge, standby time is about 18 hours and dropping fast. Key pad is sticky and sometimes required a heavy push to get letter/number to appear. Chatting to colleagues one of them had a 4th phone replacement and when that went wrong he gave up and bought an iphone. Maybe will have to go back to Nokia's :(

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2009Hello people!! I want to know about the music quality ... moreThe Music is OK - but not a patch on the walkman phones and too quiet. If you want a music phone I whole heartedly recommend the W705:L great sound and looks good too.

Hi,
I got a C905 in January 2009 - loved the design, and everything about it.
5 weeks later the earpiece problem. Took three weeks to repair, but after I read about the problems online I wrote a letter to my provider, kicked up a fuss and got a W705 as a replacement - told them to keep the C905.
However, my mobile phone provider returned my C905 and I decided to use it: the earpiece went again yesterday. In addition, the slider feels shoddy and has 'give' in it.
I have no 'jealousy' regarding this phone - I loved the style (best LOOKING design ever for me at first - although it is tainted now!) and I am a SE fan: best interface and some great phones. I loved my W850, and I am happy with the W705.
My advice - forget the C905. Sony will have lost customers through this I am sure, and hopefully this will ensure that they pay more attention to quality in future.
Oh, just remembered: I contacted Sony, and they insisted there was 'no known fault'. Usually I would never use a company again if they were so disingenuous and so disrespectful of customers, but because I have had previous good experiences I decided to make an exception. I imagine many people will not.

But she carried hers in her pocket, as my son now does,it has scraches all over, a piece of the chrom came off, paint from the inside back is peeling, and has a deep gouge from being dropped. But still works like the day we got it. All this in a year, but at least my son now has mine as a backup if his does give out.

I do hope that the next few sonys have no problems as i would like to stay with sont handsets the only really good thing about this handset i find never breaks is the camera and the net

The earpiece going bad is a known issue on the C905. It happened on my fone, sent it to SE, they fixed it.. Recently my fone wouldn't turn on, actually not sure if it turned on, cos the display just kept blinking in shades of blue, the keypad was on.. i tried taking out the battery, M2 & SIM.. Waited for a few n then tried turning it back on without the M2, didn't work.. I haven't been able to use the fone at all last nite.. But miraculously, i tried turning it on this morning n its on now.. no problems at all.. the M2 in there as well.. I still don't know what the problem was.. So what im basically saying is, these are technical flaws which are all covered under warranty. Now if u dropped it multiple times, got it wet, tried getting it repaired at a mobile repair store other than SE or Vodafone, then ur warranty becomes void.

Kimmy, 05 Aug 2009I Just Bought C905 Couple Of Days Ago And I'm Having A Prob... moreIt sounds as if you dont have your 'visibility' on your phone turned on. In your bluetooth setting you will find it. This is used to either hide your phone or make it visibile to things that use bluetooth. After you make your phone visibile, you should be able to connect your bluetooth.

Mike, 07 Aug 2009When will SONY learn to put 3.5mm headphone jack????? ... moreWhen will people like you figure out what you are talking about? There is a 3.5mm adapter that comes with the phone. But if that is still the problem why not buy a stereo bluetooth headset?, and get rid of the wires all together?I know people like you cant stand to upgrade, you have to keep everything stuck in the 80's, or have that iPod look going on. Now grow-up, quick complaining and find a phone that has that old tech on it, if that is what makes you happy. makes you happy.

What has happend to the way things work on a spec sense compared to the modle phone. Here we have a C (Camera) range handset but yet the W (Walkman) range has outdone the entire C range on camera spec what's the use of the name then? Is that not the point?
