A tragic accident.
My cedar just fell-off a plight of stairs ending up one floor below. The phone got dismantled into 3, the backcover ended halfway in the stairs, the battery few more steps lower and the rest phone case in the ground.
This is around 200th time i'm dropping my phone, greasy hands and careless as hell, within 6 months of purchase.
And this is the worst fall that ever occured.
Luckily nothing has happened.

However due to frequent falls and harsh usage my silver back cover lost a bit of its waterborne paint in its sharp edges in left and right corners and there are few scratch dots as a result of the phone getting pressed to the tile surface with few small sand particles in between.
Its not ugly, still looks ok. but i'd like to buy a new cool looking red panel, anyone know if its available and its cost.

Tbdm, 23 Oct 2011I copied this tutorial but there are some things I don't un... moreIf u instal some application with memory card inserted,automatically cedar instal and save the application in there,you need move the jjpatcher application's in phone memory to start a patch,in number 9 its mean after you get jabxxx.b in your phone memory after do a step number 4 to 6,you need to copy the file to computer and in archive in the tutorial link there is a program name bpatch,you need drag the jab file to it and it will create a new jab file dude,and this jab file is upload to tpa-preset-system-ams (im sorry if im false because i'm really forget the bpatch file will create a new jab file or not because after start with patching one month ago,i never try it again to follow the procedure again)

I copied this tutorial but there are some things I don't understand:
1. Download this http://www.sendspace.com/file/yw889c
2. Install jjpatcher.
3. After installed, move it to the phone memory.
4. By sefp v2 go to the tpa/preset/custom
5. Upload customize_upgade.xml
6. Turn On mobile phone.
7. On folder "Other" in phone memory we have file jabxxxxxxxxxx.b (xxx the different characters).
8. Copy this file on computer.
9. Drag this on program bpatch
10. By sefp v2 go on the tpa/preset/system/ams and throw file jabxxxxxxxxxx.b
11. On memory card/other create folder "patches"
12. Put your patches there.
13. Turn ON jjpatcher.
Just patched phone..

And,
Not .vsp
Its .vkp.

Make up yur mind while typing.
Yu cant find .vkp file.
Copy the hex codings and paste it in notepad, save it as .vkp.

Patching is also like putting acoustics buddy.
But some extra work need on yur mem card.

@ point.,
Yu have to gain a deep knowledge in hex language to port patches.
Its not easy to port patches.
Request in se-nse.net.
There is some porters like blacklizard, den_po etc may help yu.
Though Cedar is Red CID 81, we cant patch it permenantly and it cant handle bigger patches.
Only simple patches will work.
Confirm that brighness decrease patch is not such a bigger patch.
If the patch dosent work, it leads to contineous restart.
Dont get afraid if it happens.
Just delete the patch file from the mem card.

U can follow the tutorial above dude,i think its clear enough,yes we still need far manager to do that,and place the patch with .vkp extension to memory card-other patch and run jjpatcher but before do that u must follow the tutorial above

I don't fully understand the "patching". If its a code only then where am I gonna put that code? Do we still need farmanager in patching? I already search in google but nothing has a clear tutorial or explanation. Thanks.

Patch its for add some function that didnt available in phone as default,i mean you can port that patch is same with convert the patch from other phone to cedar so we can use it to cedar well,u can check ur firmware region by click on your phone: right star left left star left star,and here the patch for manage your cedar brightness to 10 percent,its from mobilefree.ru

thanks dear .but i couldnt find any patch for cedar..and u r saying abt w995,elm etc for brightness patch...how to do ..where to get... will u pls elaborate more..i tnkh u r smart enough on this matter...friends if we can patch cedar brightness below 50% then it will help us to save battery power as well as night browsing. pls frnds pls advise
