Store msgs in phone memory to get good performance. Also, you'll get the annoying balance info after each msg is sent, this is also the reason for getting slower UI.

The average phone for a rookie. Let me tell you about the s/w problem the SE devices suffer. In nokia UI, you'll see a progress bar for every access like SMS, Contacts, File transfer, Updating, etc. SE devices dont have that kinda notifier but works on background thread. This phone suffers only lil bit of it when you put huge size of card and populated messages. But dont buy SE Yendo. I mean it. To get good performance, store messages in phone memory, group songs to folder with max of 6-20 files. The startup will be slow if the card is loaded. You can notice very short freeze(its simulated) when you scroll faster. Audio - You can get tube like sound. Update the software because the older version clips the bass when you use the "MegaBass" in EQ. The stock earphone is fair enough. The earphone mouth filter(used to lower the mids and highs sound lvl in order to equalize for lows. Yes, you cant hear lows that very much when you take those off.) gets sticky as time passes. So, clean it to get the real sound.Rocker - The rocker can be used as volume rocker(Short press) as well as track selection rocker(Long press). I liked the rocker and the sad thing is its small, hard to press it(Its for purpose actually, so you wont accidently press the rocker while you're holding it. But, there's no such drastic things can happen when you press them). Media player & mgmt. - Cool, this is why I like SE. Keys - Not bad. you might feel like you broken something inside. But its not. Dropping and Water resistance - When you drop it, the back cover opens up and battery comes out. The phone can withstand upto 5 seconds in water(I've dropped this in water 3 times and it worked lol). After taking it out, take of the battery, Mem. card and SIM, shake the phone rapidly to throw out droplets in it, dry the phone for atleast 6 hours(I had put mine in a PC cabin), and turn it on. Worked as normal for me. Speakers - So much disappointment. Low sound level. Display - Cool. Camera - Great as in Sony Cybershot(You can count on it). Video recording - Meh. Messaging - Threaded view is all good. But, you'll hate when you send msgs to 2 or more ppl.(It freezes for 2-5 seconds!). Bluetooth - You cant use this phone as BT remote. No remote file exploring as in Samsung. Avg. transfer rate. Sometimes transfer fails.
Youtube - Good! Facebook, Twitter apps - Good! Who should buy? - Not a mass messager, entry-level or low budget audiophile, decent camera for low price, loves transitions(not very smooth), dedicated ring tone and msg tone for each contact, wants to use as a 3G modem at low budget, wants 3.5mm jack, long battery life(This is the only phone of SE that has long battery life compared to other models in SE and specifically Spiro which has low battery life), Eco-friendly lovers, likes large and bright display.

Hey sami, itz wrong buddy. We dnt hav to wait 4 da home-screen to appear & 4 the SMSs to be sent. Wn u r sending msg to a person (or to multiple recipents), the 'sending' icon shifts to the signal-battery strip at the top, letting the home-screen be visible to the user & u can start doing wtever u wish to....

Yu ar wrong. No need to wait like samsung phs, until all d msgs wer sent. D msgs hav been sent in d background like nokia phs. Yu can do other functions while d msgs are in progres.

[deleted post]@tauruz,buy cedar,its sound quality is much better as well as camera.battery back is good too.do not worry just go and buy it.trust me,u will not have any trouble.i do not want 2 compare se with other brands as i never used any other brand else than se.what i like about se is its sound quality in head phone.and camera quality is much better if u do the settings correctly.

Can any one help me.. I want to know that, While sending msgs to many (multiple) people does cedar sends them like Nokia in background or like Chinese phones it shows sending until all the msgs are send and u can't use the phone during that time ... Please reply honestly if any one knows or has used it(cedar)..

Got my cedar last week.it is a gr8 fon.ful value 4 money.i used lot of nokia including 3110,5220,5130,C5etc and dis s my son.eric fon and I realized wat is son.eric.cedar beat every other nokia in midrange.

Dcnt batery(if u adjust display brightnes to 50% den it vil stand 4 2 days on heavy use)

hey,download ttpod 1.40.jar its give more volume than default sony ericsson music player.make sure u download the english version of the software.

Thanks for u`r kind info,currently i`m using nokia E71,but i bored with it,since in my country data plan for Nokia headset is too expensive, i`m facing some software problem & it`s SAR value for me is too high.
Previuosly i used SE G502,poor battery back up when push email activated & i also facing software problem.but now i`m interested to SE CEDAR since it`s low SAR enough & maybe the software more stabile.
Would u like to share u`r exeperience in cedar how to online chat on Facebook & Yahoo Messenger on this phone? should we install other application,i`m affraid if install additional application it will caused software problem on SE CEDAR,thanks alot

cedar is the best phone in this price range.i have been using it for seven months without any fault.all features are good as u can see in the comments and on internet.
only you will have low sound.
if u are fan of loud sound entertaining the whole atmosphere then do not buy cedar.
again telling that sound is very low.

great fone...value for the money..functionality wise perfect for me...d only setback is my battery....consumes very fast....too bad..it would be a perfect 10 for me if not for d battery...
