Which is the latest version ? I am from India. Latest update is available in india or not ? Please help me i am new satisfied user of this beauty.. Friends now there is a new software update available for cedar its size is only 2.1mb.after updating with this latest one,the megabss distortion was gone in my cedar.
Friends who r all suffering from megabass problem must do the latest update.
P.S: update only through sonyericsson update service application.

I Love this phone, I received it testerday, This might be my 14th phone in past 6 years. I love this phone a lot. Initially i dint had idia of buying new pghone, I wanted one mp3 player and a 3g modem, I felt I am not going to get a mp3 player in decent price and 3g modem is pretty cheap, than i searched any alternate is their in ericsson or nokia, I found this Cedar, 32 GB memory support and with 3g, initially I just ordered by seing features, after receiving I fell in love with this beautifull phone, its so fast,(kill touch phones). this is sex phone. wow . i love this, this has animations, graphic effects,

Nice phone,
Superb quality sensor. Absorbs color so nicely.
but prone to symbian os viruses too.
My cousin's phone had to be serviced coz of it.
Besides it got a 60db music and very low ring volume. wouldnt know that phone is ringing without vibration.
C5's s60 v 9.3 would be the best choice, if moving from cedar.. Got a gorilla glass display too.
However we (esp. Me) cant afford that much.
So again cedar.
And I personally prefer alphanumeric or atleast a qwerty slide out other than a full touch.

[deleted post]but again u can still get a cheap smartphone for as little as $100 -Nokia 5230 its a great phone too.although resistive but has got gps and 3G and also has very good batt life-1320mAh.another alternative to consider is Nokia E5,htc wildfire,optimus One,etc etc.why prefer cedar when u can get full fleged functionality by just spending $30-50 more.also remember smartphones have true multitasking capability.if u want more on true multitasking then google it!.also having subtitle is hardly an advantage if it could play Xvid/DivX formats that could b considered as a real advantage.

Tanay, 21 Jun 2011how? Explain detail procedure.Works only in videos in landscape view.
Open the .srt subtitle of the video file with notepad.
Select all, copy.
Create a new text document .
Open it, paste the contents.
Save the document.
Now, rename the .txt into .srt
Then rename the file into same name as the
video clip.
Copy the video and the .srt file into the same folder in the phone or microsd.
Play the video, select subtitles 'unknown'.
Done.
Result , another cool advantage of cedar over samsungs and s40's.
You can play videos with subtitles.

cedar is ultimate phone in this range.. I got this for just 4.5k .. I am using from past 4 days .. Believe me friends , this is superb phone for heavy user like me.. Before this i used xperia x10 mini , i wont say its superior than that, but it can perform almost all things what android does for me ...

Some tips for maximize Cedar battery performance:
Cedar already got a very good battery Li-Po 1000 mAh which gives a long stand-by and talk-time. Beside you can also increase your Cedar battery performance. Here are some tips:
1. Keep ur display brightness under 80%. for doing this just go Menu>Settings>Display>Brightness
2. If u do not use 3G service or if 3G is not available in ur country thn turn off 3G.
go Menu>Settings>Connectivity>Mobile networks>Gsm/3g thn select GSM only.
3. When charge level is below 15% thn charge ur phone at least 2.3hr
