hi wreck..
i saw my friend's cedar mobile recently.. i was disappointed with the camera,cos it covers only half of the screen(i.e)image resolution in camera is very low..
In other functionalities,its so good..
but camera resolution is toooooooooo bad..there s no option for taking photo in full screen..whether any software updates available to resolve this issue??

Hi, i have purchased sony ericsson cedar for rs 3780 from letsbuy.com using 15 % off voucher.
Silver/ white cedar
Here is my review:
Pros:
1)Excellent sound clarity in-ear phones,no problem what so ever while speaking with in-ear speaker.
2)3.5G @ 7.2mbps, phone connected to pc ( se companion ) using AIRTEl 3G getting 5-6 mbps @ 700 KBps of download speed.
3)Usb charing
4)Wonderful keypad.
5)SMS Conversations, i love this one the most.
6)Excellent battery-back up, 2 days.
7)micro sd card Supports upto 16Gb
8)Pre-loaded apps like google maps, youtube....i don't have to install again. Installed opera mini which is really fast.
Cons:
1) Loud speaker is low but ok.
2) Cannot hear ringtone when some one calls.
Sol: i have selected NATURE ringtone which is really loud and my problem is solved and now i can hear if any one calls.
3) No secondary cam, video call is there but only with main camera
overall review: It's a fantastic phone ,priced at 3780rs in indian market,at that price what can you expect more than that?
Cedar has HSDPA @ 7.2mbps guys you get unlocked huawei 3g data cards @ 2300 rs from ebay.in and now you got a phone which has 7.2mbps for 3780 rs, isn't that fantastic????

- Battery backup average. it serves only 1 day.
- Display only 256k colour. no 16m :(
- Very poor loudspeaker. even acoustic update cant make any significant change.
- Unable to play Divx,Xvid,avi format video.
- Camera average.
- No flash.
- Supplied headphone is very poor.no bass. you need to buy an extra headphone for better sound.

Instal far manager in u r pc, switch off the phone and plug it pressing the c key.

hi..i just bought my new cedar..while charging it i'm encountering a strange problem..the phone does'nt charge while it switched off!
like even after switching it off and plugging it in for charging,the phone automatically switches on!
is this a common thing with all cedars?please reply.

- 2mp camera takes out 5mp cameras and absorbs colors better.
-30fps max video recording.
-max video recording bitrate is 1480 when compared to similar priced phones that manages max bitrate below 900kbps only.
- highlighted keypad making blind typing possible.
- keys arent too stiff making typing easier.
- canoe shaped back, provides more grip.
-excellent tough build
-fast interface compared to s40.
- got 3.5mmjack and microusb unlike usual sony phones
- multitaskIng (only phone in the range to do that).
- mega bass provides an awesome music experience.
- can be modified in anyway using far manager and corresponding files.
- can work .jar files even upto(may be more than) 8mb compared to other java oriented phones of max java size of 2mb(x2) and 1mb(other s40's,samsungs,lg's,...)
Disadvantages.
- no flash
- feeble speaker ( can be corrected using acoustics)
- when using megabass, distortion in beat at the second and third highest volume level. (can be Corrected using acoustics).
- camera resolution is average 1600x1200 (2mp)

hii guys i bought this phone 1 month back and i am very happy with this one .... but i am facing 2 problems 1- i am not able to sent more than 1 message to a anybody whenever message goes morethan one example no of text 3 , its shows the message is sent but in sendbox it shows mesage is not sent or cancelled ..... 2- bluetooth sometime works and sometime not ........... any one plzzz help me .....

the site says there are no themes for cedar, so Select phone as yari or zylo.
There are lots of good themes that work for cedar uploaded by super-soul,i am legend...Etc Besides some newbie named koolbull is uploading themes that are 'tagged' cedar into zylo's and yaris folder..
