cedar can play HD videos also while in x2 it plays as sound clip and not video.
i mean super clarity 720p videos just a 3.00 min weighs around 19-23mb, x is good only for its speaker whose clarity is verygood among nokia phones but just average among sony phones

Market price of cedar, please. Is the headset any good in comparision to w710i earpiece, i have d sennheiser pmx 60 n w710i. Is the cedar's audio on par with w710i or better.

Cedar is the best phone in 5000inr range.
Better than x2 which has an os just to say it got one and didnt support multitasking at the least

Guys, Im unable to install opera mini in my cedar. It says 'invalid application". previously it worked fine but when I updated the S/W it was deleted from the memory and now when I try to install the new, it says invalid app. pls help. Also I had a backup of my phone memory before the update and when i restored after the update, everything was there except my Inbox messages and downloaded applications. I wonder why these things are not restored? anyone who updated the phone pls clarify my doubt in this regard.

fellas never damage your ohine trying to remove the speaker wire mesh. remember thet once its done your warranty claim is over and leaves your phone damaged.
Remember that it got a 3.5 jack and you can easily invest upto around 300 inr and buy some external speakers like i did .it plays in mega bass too (cool)

bought cedar last saturday.....
2nd phone in four months, prev phone nokia x2-00..
reason for update, snappy s40 interface and slaggy ovi player.
here is my review of cedar wtih x2...
__Cedar has a feeble speaker ,a slightly improved version of elm maintaining only around 63db output while x2 priduces around 72db
__Cedar got superb clarity speaker,a thing thats defenitely missing in x2
sony proprietary java interface supports multitasking and is several times advanced than ,(going to be replaced with windows os)s40 interface
__using with headphones cedar comes out with flying colours as it got megabass(tm) one that can't be even thought of in x2
__x2's ram is'nt fast enough to run a s40 interface and often goes blank for few second especially while starting ovi player or java softwares
__acessing internet is almost the same comparing sony's netfront and opera mini... also consider the fact that opera mini is among the fastest browsers.and it can also be put into cedar.
__battery back is more in cedar than x2. when both put into heavy use with internet,music play,messaging and some calls cedar's battery stands 3.5-4 hours more than x2 before running out.
__cedar can play HD mp4 720p in ubercool clarity.while x2 's player slightly stucks and a green tinge can be clearly seen in black coloured objects in the video, (noticeably) while doing it...
NB: both of them didn't play mp4 that is available from "youtube" (dailymotion is ok).had to be converted using nerodigital or into total video convertor 3.14's sony mp4 format
__cedar lacks a music player access key,play pause key and next prev keys.though entire media can be accesed from standby, its a miss.
__x2's 5mp camera is useful in indoor or night photography though the colurs are pretty much washed out...
__cedar got the advantage in daylight or slightly bright indoors potography with image color adjustment feature and background light adjustmnent options, really bad to miss in a 5mp camera in x2.
__x2 video records in qvga 18fps while cedar does it in qvga 24fps (yeah, its better)
Overall if you need a multimedia set in 5000-5500 range--
if you like to hear loud through speakers and didn't care for clarity both in sound and video,buy x2
if you like superb clarity through speakers and headsets along with HD video playback and can invest around 300 for external speaker in case you need to hear loud and clear , buy cedar...
Both are good but i think cedar got the slight upper hand.now its upto you.........
