First understand that Sony(The No.1 Japanese Electronics Maker)and Ericsson(No.1 Swedish Telecom firm)made a joint venture in 2001 and the reason for this venture is to combine Sony's consumer electronics expertise with Ericsson's technological knowledge in the communications sector.All SE phones are based on Java's Mobile Platform(J2ME. Security, Robustness & Ability to tailor according to the platform embedded are the key features of the Java Mobile API.Sony Ericsson has been releasing costly mobile phones since they were worth of it! But now, they have targeted at the Mid-Price range market. All ericsson phones have been tested under a pure quality control system(Six-Sigma).So they show a very good build than Nokia and others from 2001 to till date.After attaining a incredible growth rate in the mobile phone business, Nokia started to release poor quality of phones(1208,1660,6600,N97, etc) and touch phones that have the size of a brick(5233,5230 etc)!
It is the brand name that makes Nokia Survives!
It is the build quality and applications that will make SE ,the 'market leader' in the future ! ! !

for touch screen the new samsung bada os is also better than s60[I feel even the MICROMAX or china fones may have better touch screens :D]
the nok have still not got the basic feature of fone Straight in s 40 platform fones

In case of n97 even nokia admitted it to be a big failure.
Screen in 5233 is resistive & on the top of that sensitivity of nokia touchscreens is already the worst on market. Nokia s60 phones(including 5233 don't have even a single transition effect) ,on the other hand se cedar has transition effects on every effect. Cedar has better flash lite than 5233 due to better implementation by se. At least our cedar has 3G with HSDPA but ur 5233 doesn't even have that. Alphanumeric keypads r far much better than ur poor resistive touchscreens.
Our java based cedar is many times faster than ur slow like hell 5233.
Ur s60 is failing like hell now a days.

how is its camera quality complared to zylo??? i have heard zylo has good camera quality though it is a walkman phone, even gsmarena review says so!!! wat about cedar????

there's 5230, 5250 , 5233. an ... moresorry i wont even recommend symbian phones in here you know.......
peoples of this price range dont need huge screens
they dont need hi-res 360p(nokia 523x/5800/n97/mini/x6-cpacitive)
they dont need a screen which sports upto 16M colors
they dont need productivity(quick office,PDF files)
they dont need hi-res(640x480 i.e VGA)video recording
they dont need alot great transition effects(over 60 transitions)
they dont need the flash lite functionality
all they just want is a cheap and practical phones(even my uncle who lives in village has n97mini)
and whatmore is they are all happy with 3G on a 2.2 inch qvga low-res screen with just 256k colors
I hope they are not stone agers....
and they r just stuck on their alphanumeric keypads which is just too outdated.....
never ever even think of comparing this crap with the high end symbian hich might not be just that great,although its catching up, but atleat its an OS...ith great value for money functonality go and compare ur crap with sony old phones like w200i..etc
amd onemore thing symbian s60v5 is a world recongnised touch screen ready compatible OS that is why all symbian os s60v5 phones r touch screen and the resistive type of touch screen is also classified as touch screen type stop uttering crap get the peep out of here....
and one more thing u have just used the old 6600 crap when the symbian was still in development phase.....urs is just an old java emulator but with calling functionality not to mention that including 3g in 2.2inc phone is utter useless move..

This is a complete MOBILE PHONE. And it is example how mobile phone should be. Keypad design user interface features all are good for this price. Touch phones are not practical to use as phone they are good for internet and multimedia.touch phones are difficult to handle and their life is about 2 years, after that their sensitivity goes on decreasing.

Hi buddies........please dont delay. Already there's a huge demand for Cedar in Chennai. I bought it today (thanks to abhi,devil and others)Wowwwww. this one is a killer phone.There's a headset,2 GB SDcard,and a beautiful green heart pouch. It has all!It does all!So no more worries. Get it as soon as possible :-)

I owm hv ep630 its gr8 bt clarity s nt upto mark ,bass s nice bt nt wow. U certainly go 4 pl11 n never think 4 philips. Soundmagic s best 4 its price it matces high end products of sennheiser.

I want to know about sound quality of sound magic PL-11 in-ears. For me the deep bass will be preferance over crisp treble. I have shortlisted philips SHE-2550, Creative EP-630 & Soundmagic PL-11. I am asking you guys because I read on various sites that PL-11 has better sound quality than EP-630 at price around 500 INR. Also what is your opinion about philips SHE-2550. If you know other better in-ears apart from these below 800/- please suggest me.
