Morover c3530's video rec. is much worse than cedar.
In cedar it's qvga@15fps but in c3530 it's qcif@8fps.

Hi friends I had my lovable cedar two week before everything is fine, my expectations filled by my green heart everyday almost all java games and softwares accepted not only java s40 also support well by my green heart. Thanks abhi after read your reviews I bought the green heart thanks. In brand shops you will get head phone , charger, pouch except data cable you will get everything. Music call call is good function in cedar. Keypad very comfort , nice picture output, battery 2 days for heavy users I mean heavy texters and surfing addicts. For others its hardly comes to 3 days sure. Listening song through head phone awesome. Then tell what do you expect appart from my review. Get in touch with me in gsm arena bye friends

Don't listen to what the dealers say ,check it out urself.
C3530 has many limitations.
No multitasking ,only 50mb internal memory , no 3g ,no videocalling , bluetooth speed is very slow(based on what people on c3530 forum r saying) ,very limited video playback support , poor java support(samsung java support is the worst,so u can't download many 3rd party apps) ,phone doesn't support themes ,no preloaded google maps ,audio quality is good only with good headphones & same is the case with cedar bcoz it also gives very good sound quality with good headphones.

kchat, 21 Dec 2010area info means the name of the area where i'm situated. ev... morehmmmm. . i guess kchat is talkin abt roaming..!! i had it in my old nokia phone too...like wherever i am it shows me the place name..even if am travellin it shows me the name of the road..hmmm... but for me INR 1 used to go per day... hey try askin your service provider....

Every se phone of mine- Cedar ,naite ,c510 ,zylo ,k750 behave in the same way.
It's a kind of effect se uses for it's phones.

[deleted post]are you talking about the lighting waves when you unlock the keypad? i thought that was normal.haha. an effect of transition from dim light to bright light that SE really placed in the phone.haha.
i guess mine is broken too..

ayan, 21 Dec 2010went to mobile store today nd dey told me c3530 samsung got... morei think c3530 has better camera and sound quality on speakers.. but cost mo than a Cedar. http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_c3530-pictures-3668.php but look at that interface. prehistoric.haha. and looks like it doesnt support multitasking like Cedar.
I would still prefer Cedar. that's my opinion.haha.

Sorry for being late .
The method is same as Drams told .
In msg settings three tabs r presented on top of the screen. Click right button on the D-pad '>' & area info will appear. In it select 'cell information' & set it to 'on'.
It works for me & displays the name of the place i'm present.

just by pressing the shortcut button below the answer button. you could change setting of the area info. which better than having that option on the home screen. hope im right.c:

Cedar has the function but i tried to in here in the philippines and its not working so i cannot answer you about the homescreen question.. our network provider here doesnt support that function. sorry. hope it helps..
