Hi Chuck. You can increase the volume in two ways.
1. Remove the black tape at the back of the phone under the battery, its rectangular in shape and is right under the MicroSD Slot before the screw.
2. You can try Modding. You can search a lot of useful post here to help you mod your phone.

Hello Everybody! i have a Cedar and how do you increase the speakerphone volume. i know its the volume control is on the side, but even at max the volume is feeble. Any other way. SE says its loud enough and i am not hard of hearing. Plz help asap.

I bought a SE Cedar Black Red some weeks back and have using it for the last 3 weeks. Solid phone and good feel, although being a Moto and Nokia fan found the cedars controls somewhat ackward and complicated. This is my daily use phone it is solid and i quite like it. can anyone pls enlighten me on (a ) The battery is fresh in this new phone, but drains out on standby in just aday. I seldom use the phone and its mostly on standby, and I dont use 3G or other resource draining features.(B) The camers is good but on video mode there is excessive flaring/shake which means one can only pan the camera very slowly. takes away from crisp videos. Gents pls help. Can the battery last longer and how to eliminate shake/ flaring in video mode.

hahahahahaha!...you don't have to remove the sticker that covers the speaker because it protects it from dusts and other particles that may enter...you can try using farmanager and downloading some accoustics and putting it to your phones software..=)

I got it.While you connect the phone via usb, you need to hold 'c' that is on the phone and not the 'c' on the keyboard.

BlackSparrow, 10 Feb 2012My phone is not getting connected to my pc using far manage... moreChanging the acoustic is a part of modding. Yes the warranty will not exists if you mod yur ph. But you can flash your ph if there a situation arise to take yur cedar to service centre. Though they cant find that you modd yur ph. There is a modded cam driver in se-nse.net to improve the cam quality. You can revert back to original if you dont like the modded acoustics. And yur hardware dont get affected by modded acoustics. Flashing means, rewrite the ph firmwares.
And install gordar's gate flash driver to connect ur ph to far.

My phone is not getting connected to my pc using far manager with sefp2w.144.The phone switched on after connecting via usb.Is this normal?
And which button do you have to press while connecting usb-'c' or '2' and '5'?

I bought this phone in june last year.Till now the phone has not given me any problems at all and am very happy with it and with every feature.
Now i want to update my phone.There are some thing i want to know.
1)Will the warranty go void if i upgrade the acoustics?
2)Can i return to my default acoustics if i m not happy with the upgrade?
3)Does the hardware of the phone get affected (for worse) if i change my acoustics?
4)What do you mean by flashing the phone and when do you do it?
5)Is there any way to improve camera quality (using a driver or something)?
6)Is modding the same as upgrading acoustics?
