And what appears flickering to you is the action of a smart screen light sensor placed near the ear piece. It adjusts display brightness according to light conditions thus saving battery and ensuring good sunlight legibility.

i bought my elm two days ago. im quite bothered because its flickering.. is this normal for se phones? and btw could pls suggest sites where i cn download themes.. i been downloading but when i install it in my elm it doesnt work or it says "file corrupt/not compatible" what do you think is the problem/?

Hi, This is an AWSM phone, have been using it for 8months now and the only problem I had was my own fault, I upgraded the software and now the Walk Mate Eco is not working like it should, otherwise this is the best phone I ever had. Sound quality is good and camera also, although not great at night. The phone has fallen a few times and still haven't skipped a beat. So if you want features, this is the phone for you.

you need to use software sony ericsson pc suite to connect it to pc via usb.
