Take the Walk Mate Eco as example: after pressing the Up arrow key , highlight the Walk Mate icon then click 'Show', and then click 'Back' (Right Soft key). A one third size screen window will appear on the homescreen and it's ready to count your step. Again press Up arrow key them click 'Select', the Walk Mate window will be enlarge to the whole screen and so on.. click 'Manage' (Left Soft key) if you want to hide the window.

i want basic qualities all in se elm
good sound,
good cam,
good design and fits to pocket for always on the
go, dont mind the display size,i dont like
touchscreen already,think it's durable
traditonal keypad for quick typing
helpful long life battery span,
in a very reasonable price,
plus its some specs,like splash resistance
wifi,gps and many more useful apps
it is great!!

My wife has this phone. We've not encountered any problems so far but one doubt I have is : On the standby screen, when we press the up arrow, four widget like things come up, namely calendar, facebook, twitter and eco mate. We can either chose to show or hide these. But showing them highlights that icon and the hiding just hides the icon. I do not really understand what is the purpose of all this. Can someone explain?

I bought this phone some 3 weeks back and I gotto say that im absolutely impressed about the features... wifi was a big suprise for the price tag. Have to say im not happy with the battery.. but it must be my fault since i dint charge it properly for the first time.. Camera is just a normal cam so do not expect miracles from it... and the the sound quality in call is pretty good.. I love this phone and I just cant find anything wrong with it.. maybe there are some hickups but still for a price tag of such and considering the features you get for it. Simply a bargain.. and did i say that i love it... :D
If your not so enthusiastic about the cam and music playback and looking for a feature packed budged phone.. this is the phone for you...

When you select option you would see:
- Noise Shield off
- ...
- Clear Voice on
- ...
Selecting the Noise Shield off will deactivate the noise cancellation, however selecting the Clear Voice on will turn the noise suppression off. The default actually is both were active when the call was started. And (in my phone) every time I disabled noise suppression from Service menu, it always back to noise suppression ON the next time I return to the setting

And for easy access of these functions during a call, set as navigation key shortcuts.(Shortcuts are directly available during a call) But it is good to activate them permanently unless you want some distant sound to be transferred to the other end. When speaker phone is turned on, these functions will be temporarily turned off.

this is the major differents between digital zooming and optical zooming.. its not a mistake of phone its mistake of u...
for video(vga) resolution only 4x digital zooming is used... i think u can understand my words... all the best

hi... in specification of hazel and elm they already mentioned that it camera is 5mp and 4x DIGITAL zooming...
do u know wat is mean by digital zooming??? first capture and then zoom is a meaning...
if u want zooming in 5 mp b4 capture process u better search for a phone which has optical zooming or buy a digital camera...

Bit of an issue with the 'Noise Suppression' feature. The manual says that it can be activated in 'Calls' in 'Settings'. However, that is not the case. Instead, the function can be toggled on/off in the SE "secret" menu, which can be accessed - for those who don't know - by pressing right,*,left,left,*,left,* in standby.
However, even by turning it on, the 'Noise Supression' feature automatically turns off as soon as I receive a call, and there is no way to change that during the call. Frustrating.

which... moreThat depends on your choice between a java feature phone(Elm) or a touch screen android smart phone(X10); each has its own + and -
But if 5mp camera is Your only consideration, i would recommend You Elm, because, Elm's camera is very good in good light condition and in dark, both handsets have only LED flash! Moreover, Elm's camera has face detection, smile detection etc which I don't think X10 mini is having.
As a last line, X10 mini is around 100$ costlier than Elm(differs for various countries)
