I absolutely love this model. It works great, it has everything almost, gps, mp3 etc. and i have full 8 GB memory card in it, and it's absolutely not slow.. okey it restarts sometimes, but after i went to the SE office, they made it better, and now it restarts only once in a week and only for about 20 seconds. Pictures are great (and better than pictures in telephone with 10 megapixel). easy system
BUY IT, 10 out of 10 for this phone.

i have been using it for six mos. for me, no prob with my g502. it's true that it often freezes and reboots for itself. But i found out that there is a secret for you to avoid this prob. for ex. when you try to press back on media player while listening to music it won't work, but when you press either down or up before you press back it'll work.
if you think your phone slows down and it works abnormally, try to reset all but make sure you remove its memory card and have backup for your contacts.
Unfortunately, this phone has vanishing keypad, the silver keypad.
despite this, g502 is a very good phone.
Never rely on Nokia phones for they are craps.

i believe that SE phones are for genuine SE users only.
If you don't know how to use it you will encounter lots of probs.
SE phones are the best phones! Nokia???????bye!

u can incrs d sound volume by ur self. do google. search for some tutorial to upgrade the firmware, incrs de sound, put some flash themes. this is a perfect phone. learn how to mod it.

heyy nokia crazy guys stop spreading panic among peoples. this is my 6th multimedia phone & the best this far. this is the 1st phone that i have run for more than 6 months. other phone that i have used are w550i k750i w810i moto rokr & the last being nokia 5610 worst of them all. 5610 hangs freruently in an our or so rather i must say it has got nice features. and g502 the best phone ever. i have been using it for last 8 months. in the begining it has hang upw 2-3 times but after the firmware update since 6 months there is no such problems. i use to surf internet in my cell for atleast 10 hrs a day & it never fails me. go for it as it is the best priced phone available in the market if u want awesome media experience not loud rather quality & best internet capabilities. i feel the one & only one issue that is with this handset is its silver coloured keypap the colour of which vanishes within a or couple of months.

I'm puzzled... i have the damn thing for two weeks now, and I can't find the stupid "Applications" folder. Or any file browser as I was used to on my old K550i. I downloaded Nimbuzz and Fring, and they're nowhere to be found.. I'm aware there's a chance I'm totally stupid and it's right in front of my eyes, but for the life of me I can't find it...!! Help?

Hai guys i am a computer science engineering student and i am using sony ericsson g502 for 8 months . Its an excellent mobile for knowledged people and others are unfit to use it . It did not get hanged atleast once still now to me .it will get hanged to those who does not know to handle it .

dont buy this phone, it doesnt add value to ur money,i am feenig hell with this phone, i got it for 7500, it doesnt worth it.
PROBLEMS:1) gets restarted frequently
2)low volume from speakers
3) no single track repeat option in playlists( in nokia u have that)
4)will not ring for messages when it was kept idely, i got lots of problems due to this.
5) hangs even when u speak, u cant listen to what oter person is saying.
6) silver color on the call buttons is getting washing out within 10 to 12 weeks
7) so delicate, not for rough use.
I STRICTLY SUGGEST U TO GO FOR NOKIA 2700 OR 5130 OR 7120 THEY REALLY ADDS GOOD VALUE TO UR MONEY.GOOD LUCK.

Hi, I brought this phone in Feb 2009. Its ok phone but with the following issues
1.The silver color on the navigation keys faded away within 2 months. It looks very bad now without that color.
2.Phone Volume is Very Less . we cant hear the other person clearly. Its a serious problem.
3.Speaker Volume is very less. U need to keep it very close to hear
4.It gets switched off itself once a while without any user intervention.
5.Hands Free Problem-one ear phone stopped working. I got it replaced by service centre but they took 25 days to get it replaced in Hyderabad . They wont repair it thereitself. Everything goes to Delhi via Chennai for repair.
So its upto the user to decide to buy or not with all these issues.

phone is awesome for net n great camera n sound..
regarding restart problem.. me too experienced the same..
just Do a "MASTER RESET" from settings menu..
everything will be fine..
there is no new firmware available..
i told to upgrade the same at service centre but its the same when i bought the phone in nov 2008..
better to go for master reset after which ("Make sure to remove MEMORY CARD") restarting problem will vanish like anything..
if it takes too long for restarting after u keep it for reset .. wait for 15-20 minutes then remove the battery n put it again n start the phone
