Sony Ericsson G502 and P5 leaked

21 Apr, 2008

Things are obviously getting hotter around Sony Ericsson by the hour. We know have two more leaks including the yet to be officially announced Sony Ericsson G502 and Sony Ericsson P5.

Sony Ericsson are prepping a brand new feature phone and it is supposedly due for official announcement in two or three days. The Sony Ericsson G502 is an HSDPA candy bar styled in some nice black colors. It seems that Wednesday is also going to the announcement date for Sony Ericsson Z780 too, which also leaked several days ago. And who knows, we may also see the official presentation of the Sony Ericsson BeiBei, posted with live pictures here.

Reminiscent of Sony Ericsson K660, the new Sony Ericsson G502 will have almost the same feature pack. The Sony Ericsson G502 will have a 2-inch 262K color TFT display (a SE regular) and a 2 megapixel camera (no auto focus). Beside HSDPA, the device will have tri-band GSM/EDGE connectivity support and the advanced Access NetFront web browser. Unlike Sony Ericson K660 it won't have dedicated web browser keys.

As USEB puts it, the Sony Ericsson G502 will measure 109 x 46 x 13.5mm and it will weigh 83.5g - now that's a compact fella. Internal memory stacks at 32MB but there is a M2 memory card slot. Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and USB 2.0 complete the feature set.

The Sony Ericsson G502 will be available in Q2 2008 in Brilliant Hazel & Champagne Black.

Update: Sony Ericsson G502 has already been officially announced. Read the full story.

The Sony Ericsson P5 was also among the handsets to leak today. Over at Esato we found one of the best pics of the upcoming uber smartphone so far. Although the device on the images seems more like a dummy of the actual device, it still gives us a very good idea of what to expect in the near future.

The Sony Ericsson P5 is supposed to run on the latest UIQ 3.3 UI for Symbian. It will boast a 5 megapixel camera, built-in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi, and HSDPA connectivity. Impressive enough, we can't wait to see it announced.
