SE G700 is good and affordable than other touch screen phones according to my survey... About the battery of this gadget i advice to u guys to have an extra pack...

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2008can anyone tell me how much messages it can store??Practically unlimited the way i see it as are most smartphones. I reached about 500+ (inbox and sent folder combined) before i decided to erase it.

I use this phone for 4 mounths,and it works perfectly (no bugs, no problems with screen, no problems with battery).

I find ur commend really interesting. I was actually looking to move ahead to N85 but i really dont want to spend $550 on a phone for the features i wont use. SEg700 seems to be a good choice to me.
Can u plz Compare G700 and N85 in terms of Daily user Expericance , Battery Life and Response Time.

first time to use sony handset. G700 is really a handy phone. I have N85 but SE phone really rocks! I'm just saddened that G700 don't support flash themes.

what you said, ie, changing the zoom via the setting is equivalent(or similar enough) to changing the screen resolution on your PC... But what i was talking about was the on screen option available for changing the font size while creating a message. It has 3 values: Small, Medium & Large. These dont work as expected on my cell...
Hope you understood what i was trying to say...

I have had this cell for over 4 months now & i had a hell lot problems with it. Will come to the problems in the end.
The good thing about this cell is that it is pretty slim, light weighted, interface is really good, has impressive features, touch screen is very responsive but i had problems with it.
The battery back up is also good if you turn down the backlight to a acceptable value.
The problems that i have had with this cell are:
1.Messaging
1a. After reading a message when u press the back button, the previous screen is displayed twice, ie, it refreshes in a visible manner. very irritating.
1b. The option to change font size doesnt work.
1c. The option for searching messaging based on some word doesnt work properly.
2. The touch screen had problems. sometimes it worked & sometimes it dint. Have got it replaced under warranty currently.
3. In camera, at the bottom left side of the screen there is a display which indicates the number of mega pixels. As you zoom in, it reduces from 3 to 2 to 1 to VGA. (i dont know if this is a bug or a default behaviour)
4. There are 4 profiles in backlight settings. You cant change it from the default "Handheld Normal" to remaining 3.
5. I used to hear a low frequency sound in the handheld ear piece when the backlight was on but it was fixed during servicing.
6. The flash light used to be always on during video recording but it was also later fixed during software upgrade.
Its been 25 days since i left my cell at the service center but it still hasnt been fixed properly.
I do not recommend this cell to anyone. But if you are ok with the cell having minor bugs then its a pretty good cell!

I am using this phone for the last 4 months.Features are very good. But now a problem with the key pad. Few digits like 5,& 9 are not responding frequently. The dedicated button for Notes also not responds.But the touch screen is excellent.
