well I dunno about other ppl, but I got a bad experience with G900. In fact I sold that phone and got G705 instead. My G900 was laggy, froze a lot, and the screen's color somehow turned bad. Guess i got one of those faulty.
Anyway, Yes the G705 has built-in GPS receiver and Yes the Wi-fi speed is quite fast in fact, i didn't notice any difference compared with using G900's wi-fi.
overall this phone is what u'd expect from a web capable phone with no OS. Great mobile browsing experience with it. don't mind the camera b'coz it's not intended to excel in that area.

i got the phone last week.the phone is good but the quality of the pictures is fair..you need a good lightings to take a good pic.

does this phone have built in gps receiver? The review here claims it has both gps and a-gps but in mobile-review web it says this phone only has a-gps??

it is nice mobile but not better than se g900 it is the best mobile which i have used so u better buy as it it good slim and with lot's of features

I have a P990.ButI want to buy G705,but I can't.Bcoz it can't support symbian OS.What a strange matter!G900 and G700 support Symbian OS,but i cant understand why G705 doesn't it!I am waiting for a new one of G-series which specification,design(obviously slide,and display 2.4 or 2.6inch)is just same as G705 and also support symbian OS.When it will be possible for me?

what G stand for? Like w means its a walkman phone, k means is a camera phone but what is G?

got same experience as always_using_SE_Phon: tick tick tick.
plus, i think the back cover of my phone is not really tight. so pushing on not only the navigation key but also the key pad gives me this annoying noise :(
is it just my phone or every phone is like that?

been using the phone for about 2 weeks now here in the philippines:
Design: its good but they could've done much better. the slider's durability is questionable though. when you're using the nav keys, the slide is knocking the the keypad dock. tick tick tick!!! because only the middle portion of the sliding panel is attached to the body.. ( they could've attached middle to bottom) tsk tsk tsk
Camera: camera has no auto focus!! my W800i does have a much better shot
Display Screen: Awesome!! 2.4" is enough to watch videos
Music: same as walkman phones granting you have a Walkman series headsets!!
Internet using HSDPA: AWESOME!!! got 1.2 Mbps speedtest!! using Wifi: Great!!! @ less than 30 ft from access point
Overall: Its the phone to be that is, if you're not much into Picture quality.
Request to Sony Ericsson Manufacturer: Launch a software update that will correct Camera Functionality
