so much bad comments here..
i've used this phone 4 a year..
practically,diz phone,juz suit with it price..
diz is the cheapest phone with touchscreen and wifi enabled(here)..
so i think u should not complaint so badly..
if u want 2 get better perfomance& blah3...y dont u juz buy expensive phone..but sure,u'll never satisfied..
human-being...LoL..
diz phone,is unique..with it UIQ OS,u can install many apps..juz google it,u'll find..& thanks 2 diz phone.many apps/sofwares/games are home-made,i mean many programmer/software developer born bcoz of diz phone.. :)
4 the lag problem,even pc with quad-core intel may face lags problem..i also face the problem.but not so many...come on,4 times in half year,& u still blah3?
go to public phone then.. :P
if u think ur phone is slow or lag,juz install software that can improve the perfomance of UIQ device..the app do exist.it improve ur phone speed n reduce lagging.
bout the reception problem,turn off the 3g network.it may sound stupid,but if u can surf web with gprs,juz use it..3g will draw ur battery faster..use ur 3g when u really need(4 video call&as a modem)..
the battery may be ______(use ur word here),but it was produced such way for some unknown reason :p..try buy from 3rd party company..i used high capacity battery which store 1800mA, double my previous battery-950mA. it is from 3rd party,but it is original..
after all,"try 2 put ur heart in the phone..sure,it'll serve u better"..

anybody could help my problem about G900?..i updated my phone this day. using software provided by sonyericson.com i follow all the instructions written there but after the procedure my phone not working anymore..please help me..i cant use my phone now.

before i bought this mobile i just loved sony eric. but now bcoz of this mob. i hate sony eric. i will not repeat this mistake again.

i purchased my g900 in Nov. 2009, i made big mistake as it is very slow and suitable for net surffing at all. ready to hang any time .

G900,, well not so good but still i like it since it provide with touch screen, the only problem for this model is legging, since i buy this model last year, more than 5 times that happend, i really dnt know why,, the rest, ok for me,, love it..

If you want to waste your money - Buy this most pathetic phone. Touch Screen is slow and gets hanged every 2 mins. Memory crashes. Camera does'nt open. My phone has crashed totally in 1 year and pained me all the while. I have no trust on Sony Erricson products now.

stp, 16 Jun 2010no profile setting,touch screen easy spoil,nt easy to used ... morethe shortcuts are not helping! some functions require use of keypad..! why dont just "touch" the screen all the way?! this phone is stupid

why can't i rotate the camera picture to "portrait" for wallpaper/screensaver? when rotated, the pic are still in landscape when used for wallpaper

the phone is just awesome.since it is symbian OS u can use many apps and games.the music qalityis cool and memory upto 16GB.what more do u need.
and for free internet browsing u have WIFI and QWERTY keyboard AND KEYPAD.
5MP camera with awesome video and organisable shortcuts at desktop.stero FM radio with loud speaker.
UNLIMITED SMS AND CALL RECORDS.2 spare stylus.draw ur important notes

yes it is a good phone... lurv it...
my own views:
1. phone hangs up once in awhile.. well thats usually what happened to some high end phones with touch screen...hehehe
2. camera not a good for 5mp snapper...yet it is good with the pictures i have developed...hehe
3. aside from these, the phone is a good one... used to login facebook, yahoo, and its fast...can play almost all types of media files, well never tried .avi, divx and xvid...
. very handy...very cool...

g900 realy good mobile phone .but malti media is not available & net phone sistem also not available+ battery charge also not long time i canot use ......

I have this phone for about 3 months already. I works fine except for some minor problem such as hanging once in a while (about 4 times till date), slow (after i clear the task manager but it is expected), and sensitive (especially when using the QWERTY keyboard available but may due to my big thumb or the small buttons).
Other than that(s), I quite impress. Camera may not be really good, but still nice. the sound also.
But if can, is there anyone know any website where i can downloads apps for this phone?

@dude from gerogia : doesnt matter where its constructed, just make sure its an original one from SE with SE worldwide service / warranty claim. You have peace in mind. Since there's a lot of china products, why dont you try the dubai one and give us your review :)
@clientelle : sorry couldnt reply you earlier, yeah its does play wmv coz i've tried some home made movies before with excellent sound. and im glad that it worked for you. Cheers! :)
doesnt matter what brand, what model.. there will always be complications becoz thats how the market is meant to be. The mobile companies wont EVER give you what you want as their looking at a long term business. So you have to adopt with the ones you like. They have tricks to make u change your cellphones. common sense.
Finally:
When Animals use cellphones = complain complain complain... because their animals. sending A phone for repair 3 times a year is UTTER RUBBISH. Either you bought a second hand faulty one with your idiotic knowledge of cellphones, or you just dont know how to use an electronic item with your abusive behavior. I suggest you get back to public phones. end of story.
